project avenger done this morning at UM...

post review later tonight when i get home...

saw speed and robozombie there...

mj, after changing the rubber damper, everytime i rear break ( usually during slower speeds ) i tend to hear screeching sounds. is it okay?

 

or will there be a problem next time?

 

it's normal for pulsar rear brake to screetch when it's time hahaha even for new brake.

 

reason why we opt for alternatives .... we have discussed on the rear brake issues sometime back!!

scrreeecthing sound is ur rear break which come wif all stock rear brake shoes in all pulsar. itz part of the pulsar bonus package. to perish this change it to a 3rd party brake shoes or juz enjoy the bonus pack. *winks*

 

hmm for green hornet bike for sure it will not not screetch but more to buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing!! .. hehehhehe

its your early warning system to the other road users...

haha...

don't worry about the sound...

could be just that with the new damper your rear brakes are tighter or there is dust or water in your brake drum or brake shoe is wearing thin...

i think yours is more likely the 1st reason...

now using avenger 180 stator coil on my pulsar

charging on the move is better than my stock coil

the lag time when switching from low to high beam/passing light on my NB+ is no longer there...

and where you got your avenger magneto stator from? ...

the outlook is similar...

just some of the wires colour is different and the neutral socket is different type of socket...

have to do some slight mod...

yeah read about it .. stated avenger coil is slightly longer hence the coil is thicker from stock P180!! ... reason why I asked you if you take pic .. hehee

 

not sure though if P180 is the same as P200 in terms of the thickness .... avenger 200 plate is different from pulsar plate .. not sure can fix or not? ...

 

have to ask ahtek then during my next visit ...

this is the neutral connector i am talking about

the round connector is the neutral connector from the avenger coil

the square one is the neutral connector from pulsars

this pic is not my bike

my is connect from the original pulsar one to the other end is a push/slot in connector into the avenger one

just simple wire connecting and an old square neutral connector from the pile of wires at UM...

it looks exactly the same with no physical outlook difference...

anyway if you want to use avenger 180 coil need to be fast...

UM left 4...

for p200 some comments on BCMT forum, say its exactly the same as the avenger 200 ones

some comments say need to change the magneto as well if change to avenger 200 stator coil...

anyway maybe like what the india guys did change the magneto also...

BTW for ALL info on this stator coil change, only for P200 and P180 Ug3 and below...

UG4 cannot use the avenger 180 or 200 coil...

cause UG4 and P220 is full DC circuit...

which also means that UG4 and P220 can use HID direct but need to improve your charging and regulate your power draw by the HID...

if not you will have the same problem of battery dying off very fast...

 

P135LS also full DC but not sure of it...

too little info on the bike...
