arghhh was trying to squeeze the rubber cap(the one that keeps the rain out of the hole)

out of the RH ignition coil/cable header and it tore.

anyone have a RH igintion coil with the rubber thingy lying around?

without it rainwater is gonna collect into that cylindrical space where the spark plug goes in...not gd

awww...intending on goin tmr aniwae.

my bike prob has got to do with the RH side of the iginition system.

tried just using the left alone and it is rideable can go up to redline.

but when i try to use the right side alone, cant get it past 4k rpm.

the bike coughs and backfires like mad.

and when use both together wad i get is something like riding a wild horse.

when goes pass arnd 4k+rpm it will stumble all over the place.

i tried using the spare LH ignition coil i have on the RH and it still behaves the same.

thats when i tore the cap LOL!

stock and the plugs working fine...i switched the plugs with the other side but same results.

haha haha haha...a miracle happened! the bike actually started and run normally.

i guess its some loose wiring to the coils. have to monitor.

just made the trip to UM to buy the grommet sleeve for the spark plug cable header.

If you know someone who is looking for a great 2nd hand touring bike, the 2009 Versys is still on sale in this forum. I think if riders don't grab it at that very low price, M0bilnerd's resaler "friend" will for sure buy and resell. Can make at least 4-5k profit on it seeing the low mileage and good condition of the bike..
