My pulsar had the issue of not able to get to neutral while standstill. But it's ok while in motion. This happens even with fresh oil. I changed the whole clutch plate assembly sourced from India for cheap cheap 40$. Kekekeke.. Imagine clutch plates, friction discs , clutch bell , 4 springs etc. Here will cost at least 200$. Anyways after changing the issue went away.

My phantom had the same issue, but fresh oil solved it. In my experience phantom is very sensitive/fussy about oil. You can feel a lot of Difference. Pulsar is much more easy going, mineral oil or FS can't feel difference

Bro, you think I can still get the deal you got from India?

You need to check whether you have any friends going to India and ask them to bring back. I am waiting until someone goes.

I been reading e thread for quite awhile now. Jus have some Qs in mind hoping old birds can help out.

No1. How to know if it UG2 or UG3?

Mine it's a dts-I 180 manufacture in 08.

Log card says so.

No2. I know this sounds stupid. Fuel switch at off position is horizontal right. Turn up or down to go to reserve?

No3. Other then UMPL, is there any other shop tats gd with pulsar engine or knowledge?

I thank you all in advance 1st. Hope to meet e rest of u guys ASAP too. If time permit.

Welcome Remy,

Hope this helps.

If its digital meter and not clip on handle bars, it's a UG3.

if its analogue meter, then UG2.

Most bikes arrow up is reserve. Down is on.

I suggest you leave your bike in the hands of UM as they have the spare parts for you.

After owning three Bajaj bikes, I never encounter a situation where they asked me to change something which wasn't broken.

1) Please do read through the 1st page of the thread which will give you more details of the difference from UG1,2,3 & P200

in short you can see the difference through appearance...

UG1: Silver engine block,chrome exhaust,spoke rims

UG2: Analogue meters,black engine block,sport rims

UG3: Digital meter,sharp tail light

UG4: Digital meter,sharp tail light,split seats,clip on handlebar,no kick start

P200: Digital meter,sharp tail light,split seats,oil radiator,no kick start

2) Horizontal - Off

Lever Up - Reserve

Lever Down - Normal

3) For basic servicing like change EO,spark plugs, change tires, chain etc can be done at any bike shops...for engine and electrical issues do go back to UM...for using other bike parts, do a little research and you will find that there are parts out there that can fit...or just join us for makan sessions and "pay school fee" with teh and get the download...haha...

cheers...

welcome to the group...

Guys,

Has anyone propose aftermarket exhaust systems for bajaj bikes to LTA for approval? Or using other bikes' endcan on bajaj pulsar bikes and pass inspection?

Saw a black p200 selling for 1000. Dunno is it downpay. Or full cash. But the guy seems to be urgent selling it.

Its COI. Yet even after taking the installments in account it seems like a good deal.

Welcome to the Pulsarians club. Your bike is confirm UG3. 2006 end onwards untill somewhere around late 2009/early 2010 all P180s are UG3. Before that is UG2 and after that it is UG4. UG2 is analog meters and UG4 is almost lookalike or should I say replacement for P200.

Since you live in the west you are very lucky, just go to UM, they are the best. We guys in the east no choice, have to wait until saturday and ride all the way

Bajaj Boxer 150M - I really like this bike's plain and simple looks and the fact that it is priced at 1/2 of Pulsar 200NS.
