One thing Bajaj should have done is branded the Pulsar200NS as KTM Pulsar 200NS, especially for overseas markets. In India, Bajaj is a big brand, but KTM is even bigger.

 

Think about it Duke 125 and 200 also come out of the same factory, but the brand recall that they command is totally different.

 

If any buyer out there were to pick fz16 over p200ns, then brand is the only only only reason. Since both are made in India and every thing else the Bajaj is superior.

The term machine price is very confusing. Sometime it means everything except COE, sometimes it mean on the cost of the machine when it lands on the island. Then you need to add thousands of other taxes.

the 200NS and the Duke are 2 totally different bikes...

yes KTM share with Bajaj some technology and design...

they do share similarities cause of the knowledge sharing...

but the pulsar's engine is not the same as the Duke...

the Duke and 200NS are targeting different groups of consumers...

i believe KTM is using the Duke as a point of entering the India market...

Well, Ownership of a company and using their brand are 2 different things. It is a different matter than Bajaj is the largest shareholder in KTM as a whole. KTM has entered India via partnership with Bajaj. The Dukes are manufactured/assembled by Bajaj so how do you call it KTM? Maybe KTM has shared some know how and design. But there is no reason why the bike cannot be branded as Bajaj Duke 200. Similarly, Pulsar can be branded as KTM as they are partners, ofcourse usage of brands comes with royalty and cost involved. But it is possible.

YESTERDAY went to W*** **P for checking of the issue of the noise, the mech say its hitting the cover where I DONT THINK SO. explain but he insist its the cover and say its normal.

 

heres the sound, is it normal? because when i changed to sinnob its quiet but this gets loud suddenly , especially when Throttling and moving off and cruising, but when decelerate it will be quiet.( with clutch out).

 

ive checkd for kinking, no kinking . check for tension, okay, freeplay on chain and sprocket teeths, still tight. looks like the sound of the CHAIN ROLLING OVER the front sprocket.

oh no rev getting the bajaj business model all wrong....bajaj making and producing ktm duke doesnt mean bajaj owned the bike. juz like mc donald....they dont make burgers...mcdonald is a toy company by business nature. Mcdonald give other people to sell their product using Mcdonald Brand. and this term is called Franchising.

If I remember correctly was around $300. Price tag is on the helmet.

Aiyo its fine. if i tighten it the sound got worser as can hear the roller rolling through the frobt front sprocket. but its okay as the rear arm is retracted. but wih load. its fine

kind of normal .. you get the hang of it once you get the feel to play the gears

 

some say change eo , some say change clutch plates ..

 

basically if urs have not change wise to do so ...

 

if u r parking best to off the engine first then change the gear to neutral
