Hey guys,

 

Transaction completed. Finally I get my hands on a P200!!

This is the bike I bought:

Outlookwise not great. The red has faded in lots of places but strangely the tank red is fine. Maybe paint sticks to metal better haha. He said he always parked outdoors thats the reason. Also the left and right controls the plastic looks a little tired again because of outdoor parking. The meter is fine but due to the sun you can make out the LCD color is turning yellowish.

 

Enginewise sounds good. he was a single owner till now and ridden until 40k kms and he said already done top overhaul once so the engine is good. I just rode on the PIE but stuck to less than 70 and it sounded fine.

 

P200 power delivery is awesome compared to P180, the difference is 20CC is real. Although the bike is already overgeared, the prev owner has changed to the 428 chain sprocket set front 15 back 39 and it uses stock size tyres, but the power delivery is good until 70km/hr it is less than 5k rpm and smooth, havent tried above that.

I think that the P200 has quite abit of torque compared to other 2B bikes.. pick up is great.. what i think could be better is the top speed and under seat storage.. and the 99,999km problem..

 

Anyway, just came back from UM.. a friendly short uncle (NGAT??) helped me with checking the engine idling up/down problem.. he mentioned that its probably engine not warmed up yet.. once warmed up.. problem will be gone.. checked air filter and its clean.. EO/spark plugs changed by him personally before purchase.. will continue to observe in coming weeks..

 

Asked also about the box.. find that its abit ex.. anyone here selling? hehehehehe..

Just went down to my bike to do some basic checks. One thing I noticed is that the front wheel doesn't rotate freely, I need to put some effort to rotate the front wheel. This never happened with my previous bikes. I guess the front brakes need to be rebled. Will be getting it done tomorrow along with eo change

check your rim and brake disc...

You could also check your brake hose. I had the same problem till it got worse when I cant even spin it with my hands but it can move when I ride it. I was introduced to the star performance brake hose.

From the location, it sounds like a scrapyard, haha. Farhanians was mentioning about a shop behind Tampines Safra that sells old school boxes for cheap and he was calling the location as ulu, lol.

 

Tomorrow I will be going behind safra to check my brakes and change EO, will checkout the shop with old boxes, kekekeke.

i think i will try Woodlands first.. was looking at Google Street view at Tampines behind SAFRA.. looks like an industry area.. there is a bike shop at the entrance.. is that the one?
