normally i wear Dr.Marten to ride.. quite comfortable and slightly high cut.. i spray water-proof spray during rainy days.. not too bad..

But when i go office.. i will wear Rockport dress shoes.. its waterproof.. but the pants leak water from ankle!! and makes it wet.. else its alrite.

Maybe when Dr.Marten is finished.. i will try the new Army Gortex.. it was issued during my last reservist..

At the moment I am using slippers when it rains. I have been hunting for rubber sandals for safety purpose but havent found one yet. Carrying extra rain shoes is just going to be too bulky

better wear shoes while riding, saw a few riders in the morning and it was raining, was thinking to myself.. these are the people who traded their feet for a pair of 'precious' foot wear.. lol.. for sure a pair of feet cant be replaced for $200...

Its ok, bros. I ride really slow when it rains. There is no end to safety precautions. That way I have to wear a full face helmet, jacket and pants, all this is just not practical when my office is just 5 kms from my house and I come home for lunch also. Imagine the time taken to wear all this and remove it. I rather ride slowly and defensively or not ride at all instead of being so paranoid.

Hehhhe. If you guys have seen heng motors complimentry raincoat, its really lasts.. Its been months using and thrashing it. Heres a trick. Get the shoe covers from lab. They are $8. And bely good. The soles are okay. And if you see under your seat, the soles can fit at the sides. Just fold them nicely. And your pants. Fold it nicely. and can fit in between the holel take a photo later. And then the rain coat, use it as A base of your box and fold it flat at the bottom and use it as a base!!! And your raingear will be invisible till u need it.

Heres another trick. If you find the pillion seat very hassle to take out, use a long cable tie and tie to the loop, lube the hatch well. and stick out the cable tie at the side in betweeen the slots of the cover. THEN dont need to take the cover to taae out the thing anymore. Just pull the cable tie and the seat is unlocked. Use black cable tie. as it looks invisible.

Thanks MJ, Atipo just called me and he has stock mirrors. Wanna swap with my Koso-type mirrors. Will let you know later.

As always, I prefer stock bike. Just use it for transport only. No racuns except gear sock and exhaust tubing.

Yah happy that finally back to a P200 after over a year. Back to 3 bikes again. hmmm.....

Just came back from UM and LAB.

Met Seif there at UM,he beat me in terms of reaching 1st.haha. But unfortunately today NGAT and few other mechs on leave . Only Ah Tchie and Ah Fook on duty and the Filipinos doing part time work haha.

Ah Tchie handled my bike. 1st we looked that the "brake caliper holding rotor tightly" issue. He bled the brakes and changed the Orings, sand papered the pistons and put back. Still no difference. Wheel still not rotating freely.

Then he removed the brake pads and filed them still no difference. Then we suspect maybe rotor problem. So he interchanged with a 2nd hand rotor lying around. Still no use.

Finally he interchanged the caliper part that secures to the fork with another 2nd hand one lying around. This time it worked! Turns out the caliper bent a bit, haha.

Next we looked at the handlebar wobbling issue. Ah Tchie said Steering cone no good. Tyres also no good and having a box in the back also doesnt help. He recommended change tyres 1st. But I thought steering cone must be the culprit.

So asked him to change the steering cone. After changing found that the issue has become even more worse. Paid the bill 115$ and went straight to LAB and got both the tyres changed. Now the handlebar issue gone away. Really happy with the bike now. :)

LAB didnt have Shinko for the rear, They have Continental Conti Twist 130/70 for rear and Dunlop TT900 90/80 for front total cost 120$ but I didnt like the shape of the rear tyre, It is very deep curve so the centre part is very narrow and contact patch is very less even though it is wide tyre.

But I guess for cornering its good not sure.

BTW, LAB's workshop is no more in Kallang Ave, that whole industrial area is being torn down, realised after going there, haha, They have now moved to another place somewhere in Geylang.

Congrats Moniberd. Dont let this bike go away. P200s are not easy to acquire at the right price and in the right condition. Mine is going to stay with me for long long time.

I just saw an FZ16 parked in my carpark. Its rear rim is quite wide compared to pulsar 200 hence it can accomodate 140/60 size tire.

I am just wondering, Is Pulsar 200 rim size same as Pulsar 180 or wider? To me the rim size looks same. So did bajaj put 120/80 is already oversize tire on the rim and no more scope to go wider? I know that the swingarm wider in P200, but rim size is also important. Now the 130/70 on my p200 looks really funny with the centre of the tyre bulging out, I am wondering if this safe or not.

I wonder if our rear rim can fit in fz16 stock rim? Since its same 17inch and abit wider.

Price wise ok ok only.

After exchanging hands, I realized the handlebar riser not tighten, handle can move forward and back, scary. Also the mirrors were not tighten, so when moving more than 30km/h, will swing. Other than that, bike seems ok.

Wanna add helmet lock and change EO soon. Maybe do at workshop near my place. 1.2L right?

If you want to be accurate it is 1.15 ltr, manual also says that, I filled 1.2 ltr and it goes above the top mark, I read the manual only after that.

But wait a minute p200 doesn't have handlebar risers, or are you talking about the square thingy with 4 screws that secures the handlebars?

No the swing arm won't take it. Fz16 swing arm is wider, I was reading about this on xbhp and a guy has modded the swing arm and added the monoshox and the rim of fz16.
