Time: 1830hrs(6.30pm) - Those who want to have dinner together

1945hrs(7.45pm) - Safety briefing before defpart

(Please take note of the meetup/briefing timing)

Location : Kallang KFC

 

Things to bring:

 

1) Waterproof jackets/Raincoat

2) Riding pants/Jeans/Long pants(NO SHORTS PLEASE)

3) NO SLIPPERS please. SHOES a MUST

4) Gloves/FF Helmets(If possible)

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

 

- Please ensure that your motorcycle is in good working condition

- Minimum safety attire: Jeans, covered shoes. Riders and pillions not meeting this requirement will be U-Turned

- Full faced Helmet and riding gear is strongly encouraged. Please bring along your rain gear

- Safety of all the riders is of our utmost concern, so no superman antics please!

- Please observe orderly convoy riding, so no overtaking between bikes, no lane splitting. Please follow the convoy leader at all times and don't freestyle !

- Please respect traffic signs and rules, as well as speed limits

hey guys, just passed my 2B. looking to get a pulsar 200 hehe

 

how much is the new 200NS? if too pricey, i'll just go with second hand P200.

 

you think about 3k can get a decent P200 not more than 3-4years old?

 

and one last question, if i respray a P200 from other colour to black, how much approx you guys think it will cost? malaysia/SG also can.

Congrats on passing your 2B!!

Where did you find for 3k? I think 3.5k is the normal price and UM also selling at that price. 3K is a good deal, provided you dont need to open the engine. Anyways a second hand bike you buy, especially pulsar, typically you need to spend couple of hundreds to get it to top condition.

 

Regarding respray, if you want same quality as factory it will cost around 300$. I suggest you buy a black pulsar 200 instead and use the 300$ for improving its condition.

 

The P200NS will cost 7.8. But since you are a new 2B your insurance will be around 700 I guess, so all inclusive will cost you 8.3k I guess.

 

A used P200 at UM will cost 4k+ all inclusive.

chius from edmw tio bo? ur nick so familiar. P200 hard to find now, u can check with UM (David) do they have 2nd hand P200.

I respray cost $300 coz e build is almost like super 4 already.

i called previously ask for TP insurance for me for a 3 or 4yo P200 was quoted 1k. i'm only 18 lol

cause of your age and riding experience...

insurance company will add extra loading to the insurance amount when you are still p plate...

Welcome..... A P200 is not just a Bajaj Pulsar 200.... Haha

You might offend a chief here cos he spent much time/money and effort in maintaining his ride.

For a learner I guess 18hp is plenty. Don't be like me, go one full circle and come back to a Pulsar 200. Mind you it was a big big circle.

 

Most importantly, what ever your ride may be, remember to ride safe and be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Nv done any spray on engine, they did asked me whether want to do for both rim for $120? I say nvm, anw I did my rim spray at JB lorong bapok at $80 rm for both rim. :):)

IC. I noticed that most used bikes that UM sells, they respray before selling.

One of the pulsar's that I had was bought by the previous owner 2nd hand from UM, I noticed not only is the main color parts painted, but also the forks, handlebar, switch controls everything nicely repainted

 

I saw a couple of UM bikes during btwo and noticed same case, very nicely repainted.

 

They dont have their own spray paint facility so must be outsourcing, with the spray painting prices so high(300$++) I wonder how come their used bike prices are so competitive.

Yupp 3.5k machine price for P200, when I asked them few times. Call them and ask if they have any available. In the forum also generally people tend to sell for high price. I have almost never seen a P200 for sale on the forum for less than 3k, might as well buy from shop.

 

But if you are ok with P180, then you will find a few for cheap on the forum. There is one very cheap FBA plate Ug2 P180 for 1.7k on SGBikeMart.

I'll ask my brother along if I buying. Anyway, pulsar can take a good load? I'm heavy duty hahaha. And also, anyone know the estimate interest rates? Thinking of 6month loan at max.

Ug2 is 5.5 to 6.5 yrs old. Late fz plate or fba plate.

P200 is a better choice, go for it

Engine not same, the torque and bhp of duke is higher although it uses single spark plug compared to pulsar's triple spark plug. FC of pulsar is better than duke.Duke will still give 35 km/ltr which is considered very good for its power.

 

Also duke uses fuel injection, pulsar based on carb.

do take note that if you take loan, your insurance will have to take min TPFT...
