coz im really curious on how savings this bike can get,

 

lemme get the ball rolling, ever since i started using my baby i only pump once a month,which can last me around 600 clicks average till reserve.

 

so full tank takes me to 25 bucks after discount 15litres capacity

 

petrol+season parking+occasional coupons = sets me off to around $50 per month :clap:

 

makes it the cheapest maintenance bike i ever owned,yay!

My Journey frm home to office and back home only 6km+/-. only ride frm mon - saturday. (170+/- km per mth)

1 full tank can last ard 2 to 3 mths :smile:

season parking $17/mth

Basically my bike is kinda low usage after change of job.

Once awhile if wan to waste petrol will ride ard sg or go UM disturb ah teck.

Date: Saturday 6 October 2012

Time: 1800hrs(6.00pm) - Meet up & interaction session with UM staff & RE riders...(Dinner will be provided)

1930hrs(7.30pm) - Safety briefing before depart

1945hrs(7.45pm) - Latest set off time

(Please take note of the meetup/briefing timing)

Location : Universal Motors

Note: Some of us might be heading into JB after the ride, those who want to go bring your passport and RM

 

 

Those who are meeting us midway, there will be 2 midway meet up points...

Indicate beside your nick where you will meet us...

We will not stay too long at the meet up points...

Things to bring:

 

1) Waterproof jackets/Raincoat

2) Riding pants/Jeans/Long pants(NO SHORTS PLEASE)

3) NO SLIPPERS please. SHOES a MUST

4) Gloves/FF Helmets(If possible)

5) Passport(If you heading to M'sia)

6) Ringgit(If you heading into M'sia)

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

 

- Please ensure that your motorcycle is in good working condition

- Minimum safety attire: Jeans/Long pants, covered shoes. Riders and pillions not meeting this requirement will be U-Turned

- Full faced Helmet and riding gear is strongly encouraged.

- Please bring along your rain gear

- Safety of all the riders is of our utmost concern, so no superman antics please!

- Please observe orderly convoy riding, so no overtaking between bikes, no lane splitting. Please follow the convoy leader at all times and don't freestyle !

- Please respect traffic signs and rules, as well as speed limits

Do clean your Centrifugal Oil Filter every 10K

For this need to open right side crank case cover right? Labour is 30$. Oil change and also gasket change.

I am planning to get the clutch plate assembly, Idle Gear balancer & Gasket, sometime early next year from India, same time can do the oil filter cleaning Share labour

My previous UG3, while changing the clutch plate assembly, Jackie cleaned that part. It had a very thick black layer, almost looked like a rubber washer, lol.

Jackie told me it is the clutch plate gets worn and the sediments get accumulated there in the filter.

Now I give to my mechanic in JB just RM5.

 

What brand is it ? so cheap sia

 

Not sure the brand but quality better than Bajaj. Really brake also workman ship is good by my mechanic. He grain a bit disc pad at corner due to my brake disc worn.

visited UM and happen to hav NGAT to check on wobbling issue and change EO.. here are his suggestions

 

1) cause by rear box.. can saw to lower it

2) rear suspension adjustment.. make stiffer

3) fork oil check..

4) steering cone adjustment.. tightened and adjusted

5) bearing change..

 

suggest to perform above if nv do b4 after taking over.. For your reference if u hav e same problem..
