Good thing I went to ask and let them test, is actually not much difference with or without dB killer, just a bit more beefier sound and is still within exhaust noise spec in singapore, also some repo

Waaah thats cheap.. My place i asked was $12. Btw if we are buying the plug to diy ourself. What model irdium to look out for.. And does the irdium makes have alight difference on the bike running? or is it just longer lasting.:p

 

Ohhg kay thanks! Yep mine starts well in a crank!

 

Models:

Normal plug: CR9E

Platinum : CR9EGP

Iridium : CR9EIX

 

To me there is no difference, spark plugs job is to provide consistent spark and if normal one is doing it, then it is good enough :cheeky:

For me most important thing is early morning while starting the bike, does it start it in the 1st crank without choke and without throttle, if yes, then I have got a healthly plugs and carb :)

 

 

Hmm not sure what Farhanians question direct to but do read this link to take note on spark plug especially the heat range ....

Heat range

 

i: The term spark plug heat range refers to the speed with which the plug can transfer heat from the combustion chamber to the engine head.

 

ii: The spark plug can help maintain the optimum combustion chamber temperature

 

iii: The heat range numbers used by spark plug manufacturers are not universal, by that we mean, a 10 heat range in Champion is not the same as a 10 heat range in NGK.

 

iv: When making spark plug heat range changes, it is better to err on the side of too cold a plug. The worst thing that can happen from too cold a plug is a fouled spark plug, too hot a spark plug can cause severe engine damage

Pls take note: DO NOT BE FOOLED, all iridium plugs are not the same. Iridium content varies, some other brands of iridium plugs are priced lower, (usually due to lower iridium content). They likely will not perform or last as long as a genuine NGK iridium spark plug.
