Pulsar parts are all available at Universal Motors. So far, they have been stocking up really well, so no issues. In future once new model arrives, it needs to be seen how the sales pick up and if lots of sale happen then the parts shouldnt be issue for the new pulsar, but I worry that the old pulsar parts, will they still stock up like they are stocking now.

3 years from now the oldest Pulsar 180 UG1 COE will be expiring, it will be interesting to see if anyone actually renews COE for it. Availability of parts will be the major factor for it.

I see, thanks for the info bro! You not planning to change? Hahah.

Hello guys,

I want to change the headlamp bulb of my p200. I was able to open the 4 screws on top and the 2 bolts at the bottom, but the 2 screws below the signal lamps are tight so can't remove them. Is there any way to change the headlamp without unscrewing the side screws under the signal lamps?

This question is directed @umpl.. why? i haven even make my 5th instalment yet!!

I have not gone to race the machine, go offroad, long distance and drag race.. its only about 3000km!!!

Sounds scary man. It can be anything, cant really say from just the noise. Does the bike start now and run normally?

Nvm, I will just go to um and get the bulb changed. This is the problem with DIY. Some screws and bolts are so hard that you need those professional tools :faint:

No lah bro not planning to change. Not many choices in 2b. I like only pulsar and phantom, among old bikes. If I get a good deal, I would like to buy the fz150i but ATM its price is same as p200, I rather ride 200 cc heavy bike than 150cc light bike, if price is same.

Oh bad luck, man, but luckily you didnt have to open the engine again.

That part is actually not starter motor, it is in the magneto assembly, I think it is called starter clutch body kit or something like that. I had got the whole magneto assembly changed in my previous P180 UG3, cost 220$, heart pain.

Now, looks like, you have already opened almost all parts of bike that can cause a problem and fixed it. You mentioned you bike meter was stuck at 99999 rite, I think its previous owner was a dispatch rider or something and the meter has already gone one round, hence you are getting problems in every part of the bike. Hopefully now that you have touched almost everything, from now on you should be fine.

Yeah, got it from Mustafa for 12$.The main building(Serangoon Plaza) go to the top most floor(4th floor) has nice DIY stuff and also Maxima semi synthetic EO for 16$.

I bought it about one year ago, still the can is not empty, I lube like once a month or may be once in 2 months, but now onwards will do it atleast once a month, it really helps in keeping the ride smooth.

UG4 meter is nice. It is white colour speedo dial rite? I think UG4 and P200 meters are compatible.

Bajaj has stopped producing P200 long ago and now I believe they are using UG4 meter as the spare part for P200 also.

My colleague also recently bought P200 second hand from UM and they gave him brand new UG4 meter. Another thing I noticed is, his front brake caliper is different from the original, I believe it is the new Bybre brake caliper(parent company is Brembo). The P200 originally came with lousy KBX calipers, but now spare parts they are no longer stocking KBX but instead selling Bybre :)

not sure if your sensor warnings will appear on the ug4 meter or not...

cause ug 4 don't have certain sensors maybe the meter don't have the indication...
