thats weird i was quoted 1k plus from the boss :pity:

Bro, the definition of overhaul is very subjective. We have already mentioned before that overhaul means opening the engine, inspecting and then replacing worn out parts. 2 different bikes will have different parts worn out at different levels. So the quote will vary. Even after quoting the final bill can vary depending on how accurate the estimate was about what parts needed to be replaced.

So in summary overhaul estimate can be a wide range from 200$ to 1500$, depending on what parts need to be replaced :)

how's ur bro bike now? ... rectified the problems?

yes bro MJ. it's my bike. btw revhappy, you're right. it's indeed water in the tank. call tow service, jackie came to our rescue! came in like 30-45mins at 8+. $30 for towing to alexandra. reached there 9+. HKL was open so pass it to HKL, they also say should be that problem, then left it with them. came back the next day to collect, $20 for it. think they flushed out the tank. bike is back to normal :)

btw, any idea the total wait a P200 can take and won't cause too much of a problem? cos thinking whether should pillion other people or not cos i also quite puffy haha

Pulsar 200 is rated for max total weight including the bike weight for 280 kg. Bike weight is 145kg, so you can carry 135 kgs safely, including your weight :) I believe the Max weight rating is more of a safety thing. The more the weight the bike carries, the more momentum it has got while traveling at high speed and I believe the stock brakes and tyres are poor to stop the bike safely with the high momentum.

3.5k is a good deal for a 2010 model. UM sells 2008 model for same price. Regarding EO, we usually fill 1.2L which goes a bit above the top mark, but I guess thats ok. The exact amount to fill is 1.15L I guess according to the manual.

don't guess guess in future ... kekeke

How come you got 15 in front? As far as I know there is no option for 15t in front for 520 pitch, other than sinnob sprocket. So either you have sinnob sprocket or you have already converted to 428 pitch, else you have 14t in the front.

If you already have 36 at the back and still not happy means you surely have 14 in the front.

Now you have 2 options to increase your top end.

1) get the 15t front sprocket from sinnob

2) convert your chain/sprocket to 428 pitch and get 16T in front and 38t behind from Yamaha Rxz's, mine is already converted to 428 pitch and I have 15 in front and 39 behind and I have no issues mainly because I don't ride often on highways.

But if you seriously ask me, yours is already over geared enough, if you do any more, you will lose a lot of pickup and the top speed will take a long time to come, which may be useless after all.

sadly we dont have the option. LTA regulations are stringent that it dont provide room for innovation. All are in the name of safety.

U mighr want to ask our brothers from Indonesia to innovate for us. However still y wont be able to br cleared the LTA regulations till its approved for its safety aspect.

Which oil seal you changed? Is it the one inside the front sprocket cover?

5 possible problems:

1: rectifier died

2: battery issue

4: wiring issue

3: right hand control button spoil.

5: crank issue

if u have volt meter, the first two issue could see the symptom.

best if u go UM to rectified it.

My favourite is kappa k46, although givi simply e45 and shad sh45 are just fine. Zeus is the worst looking almost looks like the china made jntan, haha. Shad is cheapest and givi is most exp. Go to ah boy you get cheaper prices.

For rack there are 2 types, the kappa ones run parallel to the tailboard and you can get at um for 100$ and ah boy has the other type that goes below the signal lamps and comes up, which don't look that good.

thank you revhappy! i forgot about kappa.. hahahaha and my current rack is like the one u mentioned from ah boy.. kinda weird looking and the structural integrity kinda doubtful..

the rack to use depends on your UG...

1 & 2 have to use spec 2 rack...

3 and above can use spec 3 rack...

mounting pts are the same...

bracket under your pillion grab rail and suspensions...
