My 200ns just hit 420km, and I found that the clutch suddenly has alot of freeplay yesterday. And when I was down shifting from gear 2 to 1 to stop at traffic light, I had to put alot of effort to kick down. Anything wrong???

Did it happen only once? Sometimes if you rush to kick the gear lever down when the clutch isn't fully pulled, you can get a bit stuck and make the next shift harder. You only notice it if you go the lower gear.

It often happens for new riders or riders on a new bike when they are not yet fully used to riding the right biting point.

If it happens at every gear change, you ought to take the bike to the shop to have it looked at.

Also, notice any change in the clutch play? See your manual for recommended lever distance when clutch not pressed in.

Can you share with everyone here? It's best to public ally announce prices so all riders can benefit from the info. There is no point in keeping things under wraps, eventually the prices don't fluctuate that much, especially for a bike that's sourced new from only one importer..

I think its because my biting point is too near. I released the clutch about 1-2 cm and the clutch engages. I have yet to collect my manual, as I didnt buy from UM

Hi guys,

I've got a problem, my IU cannot be detected by the HDB gantries (tried a few areas) but when i insert the cashcard, there's sound and display and everything seems fine.

I just went down to STA in Boon Lay and they said no problem with the sensor so i told them my problem with the gantries, upon second look, the guy said that the screws used to fit my fitting plate is not the original ones and apparently under their checklist, if the screws are not the original ones, warranty is void. He told me to go to other bike shops to get i replaced and come back again.

Now i'm puzzled, i came back to my house carpark and went to take a look at most of the bikes, most of them are using the same screws as mine. May i know who does the installation for our bikes?

If you guys are wondering what screws the STA people are referring to, here's pic.

And the ones on my bike and most other bikes,

Please check yours and feedback if you have the same issue. Thanks.

Try going to VICOM instead, might be of some help :)

Road hogger @ 50km/h on 4th lane

A bike can go up till 200km/h, can the rider go up till 200km/h o_O

Yeah try a few vicom places, you'll eventually find one where a nice guy will just replace the damn thing in 10min.

yes bro .. its LTA guidelines that all IU screws/bolts n washer must follow the guidelines ...

All Inspection centres will not entertain ur IU problems if the IU installed on ur bike from workshop does not follow LTA requirements on the mounting ...

yes bro ... they will ask u to go back to the workshop to redo the bracket using the bracket mountings dat follow LTA requirements ...

please see pic of the screws/bolts n washer under LTA requirements .. U need a special screw driver to secure the screws or bolts on ur bike ... Cheers

anyone heard of saferide abs ?

seems like able to fit all india made bikes including pulsar

http://saferideabs.com/faq.html

According to my counter part in India , this aftermarket was introduced in 2009 ... initially during the introduction period it seems like the ABS was very promising cos of the price is not dat expensive but somehow the product was reviewed not dat very good ... cos this aftermarket ABS system works very slow .. some reviews even commented its a waste of money on this gadget basically wat it does was just adding some pressure only but result was a let down. Material wise the body (golden part) made in China while the internal parts made in India ... another factor issues is due to the position of the ABS makes the pipe line twisted and the banjo tends to get loosen .. these are the feed backs given to me .. last not least wat ever parts you installed is not OEM its consider not legal in the eyes of LTA .. and to buy or not the aftermarket ABS ... I was advised not to due to its let down .... but if you still keen to have a try .. do it on the front brake only and not the rear ... dats another down side of the product reviewed ... cheers
