I found another thing on my 200ns. When I ride, I can hear a rubbing sound around my front sprocket. I confirm this by putting bike on main stand and turning the rear wheel by hand, sounds like chain rubbing on something. Is it normal??

Another thing is when I pressed my rear brake lightly, there is like a squeaking sound, but when i apply the rear brake fully(wheel not lock), there no sound. Any advice?

rubbing sound from front sprocket could be due to chain being too tight.

squeak from rare brake drum is a common issue. can get mech to look at it on your next servicing.

if so no worries...

just inform UM mechs that you are going for inspections, they should know the basic checks...

if your bike is all stock it will be fine.. be nice to him also.. he can fail you anytime..

Don't know you guys remember me or not but I met you guys up like in April. I came down wanting to know more about Pulsar. *still think Pulsar 200NS is one sexy sexy beast. If I had the cash, I would've bought it.* I wound up getting a phantom on a HUGE bargain! Looked pretty banged up at first but.. with help from my cousin worked on it since May, gave it a totally nice look.

ure on too high a gear at that speed i guess 6th gear suitable cruising speed should be around 90.

i'm riding an old ug2 180m but recently, i want to upgrade my helmet from those 30bucks one to better modular ones - n43 air. anyone keen to join in? feel that having a better helmet + sun visor inside is nice too! anyone with advice and experience with such helmet please share with us on the size, ventilation, sound (nb.. 30bucks super noisy). I'm heading to chong aik to take a look in early aug! more people = more promo?

I bought the N43 from Chong Aik a month ago. Very good ventilation yet quiet when visor is fully closed. Downside is a replacement visor costs about 20% of the helmet price. You may want to call to check N43 stock before going down. The new N44 helmets are in stock but not PSB approved yet.

Tighten screws & nuts and install rubber washers where needed? Wearing good gloves will probably help dampen the vibrations too.

@alvinyansg : below 200 and can fit into 1/2 of astra s48 coocase. I'm using the other half for raincoat and stuff

@holeinone: i saw N44 online too. it looks like n43 air with all the vent but no review/video yet.. the issue here everyone is facing i guess is non-PSB helmet and insurance claim. i emailed TP and ask and the reply was to use PSB helmets and my reference to DOT and SNELL went un-answered (expected). I emailed NTUC income to see too and awaiting their reply.

 

Chong aik have both PSB and non-PSB (the clip different) so i suppose the choice for that is clear. but they have limited sizes.

 

on a side note, i'm wondering how much N44 cost. And since i'm overseas now, i saw some cheap modular called LS2 from china. only 50sgd but of course, no rating.

for modular helmets try helmetboys or LAB/Regina...

can get the caberg duke/zeus/rjays...

all under $200 and PSB approved...

there is mfizz one but its shell is big and will take up space in your box...
