Helmetboys are having some promo - 280 for AGV Numo (TP use this i read) and 280 for Nolan N91.

below 200 will be carberg duke: 197 and AGV longway ii: 180 but longway have its visor outside - look silly to me haha.

 

you can also check out motoworld's HJC IS MAX BT. it's just within our budget too. but a little heavy and hot.

HJC IS MAX is above $200, the N91 is non PSB approved...

If you are looking for psb approved flip ups and under $200 then the choices are quite limited...

If you really want a very good flip up, get the multitec or the newer neotec...

multitec is $500+, neotec $700...

solid and good helmet...

most nolan, shoei, arai helmets are non psb approved...

Both Like you, I researched a lot before deciding on the N43. No regrets. The sun visor is not too short, especially if you're riding a sports bike and hunched down slightly. Have fun with your purchase.

Universal Motors at Bukit Merah. They specialize until they have the bikes for breakfast/lunch/dinner as well as the ocassional supper and wet dreams. beware the wet white stains on the workshop floor. it might not be water.

for basic servicing likf change EO,tires etc at any shop can do...

but if need to change parts best to go back UM...

though some bike shops are confident of doing, they still will need to get the spares from UM...

that is also the reason why in here we will recommend to just go back to UM since they will have the spares and they know the bike well...

hi there I received my bike on 26th dec, 1batch, bought it for $4900, coe $1700, insurance depend on age and experience.

I will be selling my pulsar 200ns yellow next mth, coz up grading to 2A bike.

COI for another 18mths of $273.2, mileage 9k, use only to work place on Monday to Friday. all in original except for mirror and tyres.

Hi guys, i just passed my TP today with 18pts (phew) and am thinking of getting a 2nd hand pulsar. Have some questions though.

 

1. Considering between the 180 and 200 model. What are the main advantages that the 200 has over the 180?

2. Is the 180 good enough to go at 90-100km/h comfortably?

3. What are the things I should look out for when buying a 2nd hand pulsar?

4. Or will it be better to get a mechanic to check before dealing? If so what's the process like? eg. send bike to check, if okay then buy insurance and settle transfer? Also how much would it cost?

5. What's the market price for a 2nd hand 180/200? with say 5 years COE left.

6. Trying to calculate my finances. How much will it cost for the following: Change to better tyres, add a box (42L probably?), crash bar. Anything else recommended to add/change?

welcome to this thread...

 

1) please read page 1 on the difference of the versions. for 200, slightly sportier riding posture, slightly better power, oil cooled, split seats, wider tires are some...but will lose to the 180 on fc (slightly only)

 

2) yes 180 can do 90-100km/h but as in all pulsars, you will have to deal with vibrations(bajaj massage)...there are some things to do to reduce(not totally remove) the vibrations.

 

3 & 4) as with all used bikes, check engine, outlook, rust areas...if you want a peace of mind, head to Universal Motors(UM) to look at the 2nd hand pulsars there...they will check and touch up the bike before selling to you, but price will be slightly higher compared to buying from owner...

 

5) for 180 should be ard 2k+ and the p200 around 3k+

 

6) tyres around $200+ for good quality battalex (Price depends on 180 or 200, different tire size), box around $150-$180 for that size and also depends if you already have the rack, crash bard for 180 or 200 most will alr have, if not will be $30+(if i nv rmb wrongly)...

What i wanna find out is that.. is everyone else quoted the same 6% interest from UM as well?

 

Oh yeah, 1 more thing. Has anyone opted to try and ask for mainstand instead of the free helmet and raincoat?

yeah man interest @ 6%. they gave me raincoat and helmet. but mainstand no cos its an accessory. unless like my friend he exchange the helmet and raincoat for the main stand.

for the rack and box, suggest you get the rack at UM(Universal Motors) and the box try to get givi or kappa box which is good for daily use and pricing wise won't burn a hole in your pocket...

UM is selling zeus boxes...

if you don't need to put a lot of stuff then the zeus boxes should do fine...

but 2 ff helmets in a zeus 48L is a problem...

guys i just wonder about our pulsar engine,we enjoy good fc,but is it also because our bike setting is on the lean side?

 

sometimes i go for servicing at UM and see those bikes outside selling or some badly damaged or spoiled.

 

i wonder how pulsar can achieve such great fc though:P

The zues box quite flimsy and mine the lock break due to wear and tear.
