Hey, anyone here have any previous experience trying to claim insurance against other ppl? e.g. claim other ppl insurance to pay for damages when they cause your accident?

 

How does it work? Your workshop claim for you? Or you service liao then claim using the bill?

 

Cuz i went UM to seek help, they send me to S*** motors to get it repaired. Then the S*** motors boss told me that i have to pay cash upfront first, then later take the itemised bill to go claim from the other party's insurance.

 

But, claim from who sia? As in, go where to claim?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, can PM me please.

must go on tuesday or wednesday. i also forget. cos one movie only cost RM7 during that special time slot. And it's Cathay! so quite cheap for a nice place. not sure now still have or not. long time never go Citysquare ever since got my bike. haha...

depend on which insurance group covers you. for NTUC, i know you don't have to pay anything upfront. they will settle everything for you. claims and all. just hospitalisation fees, you pay yourself. but if other groups, i not too sure. maybe some experienced can help this guy out. i also not too sure if what i say is definitely true. just experiences from me and my friends.

 

anyway, you pay insurance so much. just call them up la and enquire every single thing you're unsure about. make full use of the amount you pay them. you never know if you miss some vital steps.

hey guys, i realised my side stand is too short. it leans too much to the left. that means i have to park at the right hand edge of my lot so that it will not fall onto the lot on the left.

 

it also gives you this freaky feeling that it is going to drop when you come out of the bike.

go to a bike shop and weld a small metal piece to the bottom of your side stand.

almost any bikeshop can do that for u.. jus tell them u wan raise ur side stand.. they will normally know wat to do.. avg maybe abt $10 ba..

 

if they don, jus tell them jus old/spoilt/used wheel bearing.. see how many u wan to put.. if i rember correctly, mine put 3 or 4 bearing and weld them together.

UG2 stock rear spocket is 43... anyway i dont think the difference will be big by changing down 1-2 teeth (provided got that size for UG2). i am using 38/39 teeth now. alone still ok lah. but if got pillion den must be a good boy and stay behind the car and move off together. haha.

To me, Pulsar's pick-up with pillion on any gear ratio is just damn slow.

 

This coming weekend anyone wanna go City Square(JB) shopping for CNY clothes. Other races also welcome. But take Bus in.. as i scare my bike lost again.

Watever tyre u use for watever bike, follow the bike manufacturer's recommended tyre pressure. In other words, go by the bike, dun go by the tyre.

 

Hi guys, wanna check with you all is our analogue speedometer accurate? Today went to UM to collect my insurance cert and a TP was up on a bridge using his camera along Lornie road. Did not manage to slow down in time and i see my speedometer was around 70-80km/h.

UM can help u do it (whether u gotta pay for this service, gotta ask them). They'll ask u to pay a deposit 1st. Then they'll repair ur bike. Once repaired, u'll be called to collect ur bike. At the same time, a representative from UM's lawyers (Clifford Law) will be there to take pics of ur bike's replaced damaged parts. After signing some docs, u can ride off. Balance of repair bill will be paid by the law firm's rep. After that, ur case bacomes Clifford Law's baby. They'll make claims against the other party's insurers on ur behalf. U just wait for Clifford Law's call. May take months.

Incident: I riding along major road, 3 lanes, i in left lane, there's a sideroad entrance ahead of me on the left. Can turn from major road coming opp direction, right turn across my road into the sideroad on my left.

 

Lady coming from opp direction, make right turn across my path into sideroad.

 

I jam brake, skid and langah her car the side.

 

No pictures of accident vehicles together, cuz scared kena langah from behind, so we move to the side of the road.

 

Reported to IDAC liao.

 

Good enough case to claim from her? She refuse to say she wrong, say let insurance settle, and that she alr submit to insurance coy her car for assessment and repair.
