welcome back...

1) i think that website domain expired and no longer in operation now.

2) if you know how, buy a H4 bulb and change yourself. price of bulb varies and if you go UM or other motorshop, might get charge for labour as well.

3) the two small bulb is actually T10 LED. Likewise, if you can do step 2, you can do this yourself as well.

anyway all this small issues, most motorshop will be able to do it lah. If not, learn and observe how the mechanic open up the head crowling, and then next time you can DIY yourself. :thumb:

My humble advise.

Check the correct headlight bulb to use.

H4 is not very recommended by me although UM has used it. If possible please use the OEM HS1.

On 17 Feb 09 at about 8.45am, I was riding my new pulsar 200cc (bought 2 months old) and travelling along North Buona Vista Rd and Portsdown Rd, the traffic light at the junction were changing from green to amber. As I was a distance away from the stopline, I had decided to stop at the stopline. However, after I had stopped at the stopline with my both front and rear brakes applied, a few seconds later a taxi knocked my bike from the rear with very great impact. I was then flung together with the motorcycle for about 1-2 motorcycle length from the stopline. I was then suffered injuries on my both knee caps and right hand. I had seek medical treatment at the Alexandra Hospital A&E and was given 2 days of medical leave.

I'm now claiming 100% 3rd Party Insurance against the taxi driver for hitting my bike and myself from the rear due to failing to keep a safe following distance from my bike and to stop at the red traffic light.

The taxi driver gave stupid reasons that he 'thinks' my bike will beat the amber light and hopefully his taxi can beat the traffic light and also rushing for time as per passenger request.

The reckless taxi driver had totally no concern of other road user's safety and hopefully his license will be revoked for being such a reckless driver, endangering the life of 2 wheelers and other road users.

wow. what a lame reason he give. you already stopped for a few sec then he bang you. how he expect to beat that amber light? plus in any case, he should have see your brake light so that is not a very valid reason also.

OTR price for P200 as per phone quotation given to me is about 5.5K excluding insurance

If you are P plate rider then third party insurance around 900+ otherwise around 450+. Hope it helps... maybe the OTR price will go down further due to recession... :p insurance though may increase due to recession

For P180 my guess is that it would be around 4.6K excluding insurance

Check out the previous page with a Black P180... one bro put his bike on sale!

Hi guys,

I have a noobie question. In such cases what if you do not have any witnesses and what if the driver later change what he said to you on the spot and claim that you jam brake in green signal and demand compensation from you... What can you do then...

On another note, hope you get well soon saferider and scrw da taxidriver

1) i think that website domain expired and no longer in operation now.

2) if you know how, buy a H4 bulb and change yourself. price of bulb varies and if you go UM or other motorshop, might get charge for labour as well.

3) the two small bulb is actually T10 LED. Likewise, if you can do step 2, you can do this yourself as well.

anyway all this small issues, most motorshop will be able to do it lah. If not, learn and observe how the mechanic open up the head crowling, and then next time you can DIY yourself. :thumb:
