if fill till the bottom of the chute, only 10 litres. i thought my tank had a problem too, till i filled to the brim.. turns out if you fill to brim can squeeze in 5l O:

 

on another note 10k km today! what an eventful 10k though :S

 

hahaha!!! lol... usually, i pump full blast until about 10 litres. after that, must control the pump flow to top up another 5-7 litres more. anyway, i just realised that i always top up full tank at jb at exactly RM30 for the past 4 times. freaky.

Woah from what I've been reading for the last few pages, its quite dangerous for me personally to go above 100km/h (maybe I'm just a safe rider/driver ). Also the 100km/h for bike not equivalent to car 100km/h right?

 

Those high speed that you guys ride at is on highway or normal roads?

 

Still sounds pretty dangerous to me =X

 

On a side note.. I still dont have bike!!!!!!! No $$$ to buy a pulsar yet keke... And I noticed UM doesn't do second hand pulsars but other brands... Weird huh?

 

Hopefully my interview this friday gets me a job so I can start buying a bike soon.

We do not promote speeding in our team. How fast a rider intend to go is base on his confident and skill in handling his bike.

 

We only travel according to the max speed limit in the country we're traveling in.

 

Example

 

Singapore - 90km/h

NorthSouth Highway - 110km/h

On 17 Feb 09 at about 8.45am, I was riding my new pulsar 200cc (bought 2 months old) and travelling along North Buona Vista Rd and Portsdown Rd, the traffic light at the junction were changing from green to amber. As I was a distance away from the stopline, I had decided to stop at the stopline. However, after I had stopped at the stopline with my both front and rear brakes applied, a few seconds later a taxi knocked my bike from the rear with very great impact. I was then flung together with the motorcycle for about 1-2 motorcycle length from the stopline. I was then suffered injuries on my both knee caps and right hand. I had seek medical treatment at the Alexandra Hospital A&E and was given 2 days of medical leave.

 

I'm now claiming 100% 3rd Party Insurance against the taxi driver for hitting my bike and myself from the rear due to failing to keep a safe following distance from my bike and to stop at the red traffic light.

 

The taxi driver gave stupid reasons that he 'thinks' my bike will beat the amber light and hopefully his taxi can beat the traffic light and also rushing for time as per passenger request.

 

The reckless taxi driver had totally no concern of other road user's safety and hopefully his license will be revoked for being such a reckless driver, endangering the life of 2 wheelers and other road users.

The reason he give u is not the reason he is going to tell his insurance company. let face the FACT. NO joker on earth will say that reason to the GOVT.

 

This is a Clear cut case. 1st failing to slow down on amber light. 2nd failing to keep a clear distance from the front vehicle 3rd SPEEDING

 

All this is enough to kill that taxi driver. but since u r ok. Let Universe Motor do all the necessary claim for u. change any damage part due to the accident. Michael is professional in doing the claim. I'm sure u know that.

Saferider is a super safe rider i ever meet. We even go touring together to malaysia. u can be suprised that how safe is he.

 

For case studies

 

In this type of situation, Most bikes will dash across the amber light. But the taxi driver fail his assumption. He have met with the most safe rider in singapore and that made the him the most dangerous driver.

 

IMHO, in this case... before we do stopping on amber light, always ensure that ur rear is clear. From the mirror, we can conclude IF there is a vehicle that going to dash or intend to stop behind u. IMHO, always stop to the side of the your lane, and try to steer clear away from the center of the lane when in the same situation as SafeRider. this way, we can narrow the possibility of accident cause by dangerous driver.

 

please con't to ride with our eye and mind open.

My white helmet even got silver reflective sticker same as TP, the taxi driver must be sleeping or totally act blurred...

 

He gave stupid excuses that his taxi is too close to my bike, 'thinks' that I will beat the amber light, tired and rushing for time due to passenger request.

 

And also said that nobody wants these to happen.

 

It is just like killing a person without any remorse.

 

Confirmed 100% 3rd party insurance claim from the taxi driver :

 

1) The taxi driver admitted that he is in the wrong to TP and TP told me to claim from him with 2 choices : Private settlement or make a police report and claim 3rd party insurance.

2) At first, he is willing to pay for my bike repair at UM, but as the cost is estimated $1300, he asked me to claim his 3rd Party Insurance as his budget not more than $900.

3) IDAC confirmed that the taxi head hit bike rear based on the photos taken at accident site.

 

The taxi company apologised to me the next day saying that the taxi driver could not avoid the collision as he is tired, #$@! rubbish, tell that to the judge or TP, see what's the reply from them ?
