hmm doomxxx those are of ur rear tire i suppose? the thinner the tire the lesser the grip. cornering not as stable. But top speed increase by a little bit.... Not really recommended. *ok may i lousy skill in cornering lah =P*

the thicker the tire although more drag, means lesser top speed, but cornering more stable. more peace of mind. and looks better imo. =P

ok i think i am a bit biased towards thinner tires XD

try to monitor your oil level every 50km or so. by right, as long as your dipstick, without screwing on, have a bit oil of oil is enough. but after 100km, shouldn't be like that cos for me, after 200km or so, the engine oil is still nicely coloured with oil at the marked area. perhaps try using plier or what-not to tighten rather than by hand as the hot engine oil during journey might perhaps siphon out of the small little gaps.

same problem like mine last time. just monitor la.. if engine oil level keeps decreasing day by day but no leak, then something is wrong with your engine. perhaps your cylinder and piston are worn out, introducing your engine oil into the fuel/air combustion. that's what happen to me. in the end, piston jammed. lol.. the downsides of getting a 2nd hand. u can never know the condition of the insides of an engine.

also, check engine oil before journey rather than after journey when it's still cold. more accurate.

I monitor every wk or 200km, whichever comes first. oil colour is still nice n clean. problem is that straightaway, the oil level is "low" if i don't screw the dipstick in. If i screw it in, it comes up nicely to the marked level. The mech who changed my EO commented that mine must screw in to check one, while he was changing my EO (not UM mech). Then the UM mech tell me no need to screw in, just put 1.2L to play safe can liao.

So now got conflicting information. Trust the regular mech who change for me or trust UM. Which is the model of pulsar with the sightglass? Is that the _200?

Oh, btw, firefox, when you check you don't screw in one la? And it still comes up to the marked X-es? Or at the little bit below the X but never touch the X?

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

Hi bro, that time a UM mech who help me to rectify my oil leaking problem told me 1L of engine oil will do. I also asked nemesis b4 and he told me 1L is enough.

no need so complicated bro. easy solution:

p180 only need 1L of EO (engine oil)

p200 needs 1.2L

so for your p180, after your new change of 1L EO, pull out the dip stick, clean and screw it back in and unscrew to check your reading. That should be your healthy level. Do ensure that engine is off (duh) and that bike is on level ground on main-stand and front tyre touching ground.

by saying that, whether you screw in or not doesn't really matter. as long as you know where is your healthy level following the above suggestion can le.

for p180 which need only 1 litres EO, but u put 1.2L ur bike will feel heavy and no pick up.. and when is less than 1L u will feel pick up very light..

yes, will affect alot if ur front fork not done properly...

i think lower rear suspension is okie.. but not to touch the front fork as not properly done will have trouble OTR... and is a totally diff CG u r talking abt..

maybe u can try to cut lower ur seat like Mircale (can try to ask her as she is of the shorter pulsar owner ard)
