haha.. yeahh.. been surfing mainly the buy/sell pages since i was taking 2B lessons back in 2007. now i've got my pulsar its become more of the SBT and hands on threads. haha.. loving the bike so far. fuel consumption is like next to nothing so i dont really have to think twice before riding out. hehh.

 

oh yeah, at what mileage would an overhaul be neccesary? i bought my bike pretty new (FBB plate) but has run in a bit of mileage already, around 72k. just wondering what was the mileage when you guys overhauled your engines.

Mine also FBB... My mileage only 27 nia... I already did Overhaul.. Mileage is one concern, but the biggest concern is how you use the bike.. Mine is 27K when I took over, but the previous owner whack the bike like donno wat Fxxx.. I also gotta do overhaul.. Now do oredi so much smoother..

 

I did my overhaul with UM,, total cost me $600++.. Replace quite a number of things...

if it is black and sooty, i believe it means that your fuel mixture is too rich. you probably need to have your carb adjusted.

 

 

 

oh dearr. it was handed over to me at 71k haha. maybe previous owner was a tourer? still runs pretty smoothly though, no smoke or anything from the exhaust even when running hard or cold start. no problems starting at all too. so i dont really know what to repair on the bike.. yet. haha.

major repair = engine overhaul?

 

mmmm ya, maybe ur previous owner work as despatch rider. if dats d case, ders no nd to overhaul. just check ur plugs, wires, EO, those minor2 stuffs n also the extrior around d engine whether some parts r cracked or not. c how ur bike condition.

If you are Ayu's bf, then I saw you monday night at Jurong town. Nice new paint job . How much you spend on re-painting the whole bike, I'm interested to find out.

Hi guys, have you guys notice at some junctions, there is a guy who is wearing white shirt, dark colour pants (ROV?) standing a distant from the junction?

 

Wonder what is he doing over there? Right now I am quite scare as I think I had changed lane too fast (signal, check mirror, check back, and cut in)... Wonder if anything will be happen...

woaa. 600 quid. did the bike break down after you got it? if not, what made you want to overhaul it then? quite worried.. full time NSF now so rolling with a pretty light bank acct.

 

anyway just washed and waxed the pulsar, whew! worth the sweat though!

switch to reserve ok can start... less than 400km since last top up...

 

go home check fuel hose, the thin piece of metal use to clamp the fuel hose missing....

suspect some cb kia stole my petrol...

this happened to me recently also as in the bike suddenly lost power while i was traveling on PIE and when i stopped the bike it stalled then can't electric start. only able to start when i switch the tap to reserve. my milage then was about 350+km. think i need to go check my fuel hoses area also.

recently also someone switched my fuel tap to off then my bike stalled at a traffic light junction after i started riding awhile. electric and kick start oso cannot had to come down and push my bike to the pedestrain walkway then notice the fuel tap.
