breadman, thanks for the linking of the pic!!

nope, not getting from overseas, i think it's a locally made bag or something, will be going ahboy to get.

try going up a long slope? if your speed stays the same but RPM slowly rises, might be time to change clutch plates.

If RPM and speed both constant, maybe the previous owner changed your sprockets for more pickup, less top speed.

just a thought. the laojiaos here can prolly give you a more accurate diagnosis. i'm still a comparative no0b!

Thanks for the help. Right now when going up slope, my speed decrease and my RPM also decrease. If I down gear, RPM just increase but not the speed. This especially worst when I'm already travelling at ~90km/h and there's a steep slope suddenly.

Just wondering if it's normal or not. I don't want to change to any illegal parts just to have my top speed increase anyway. Thanks again for the help.

hhhmmm, if your speed stays the same but RPM increases when going upslope, then it's prolly a pretty good sign of worn clutch plates. brought it to UM or your fav mechanic to have a look yet? I suppose you could call it normal wear and tear. just wondering what EO you using?

again, any of the laojiaos will be able to provide more accurate info, they've been riding longer.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

I bought my tank bag in yishun... it comes with magnetic and strap.. can convert into pouch and bag...... comes with raincover. and ex tenable to fit a 13.3inc laptop standing upwards.. any higher it can serve as a pillow for ur head while u ride. only problem with magnetic.. its bad for the paint where the bag sticks.

Mine I bought at AB , got rain cover some more ... anyway wrong topic lah cos it's a RJays tank bag ... my FF fit in just nice... hehe

haha ... true about the magnetic. Remedy is to lay a piece of cloth on the tank first before placing the bag...so far I got no problem with the paint on the tank.

Works better I think if using tank bra ... ideas?

WAT IS THE BEST TIME TO GO UM

1) Avoid Lunch HOUR (HUman need to eat)

2) Got MAjor JOB or Toubleshooting, go in the morning 9am

3) Avoid going at 6-7pm for major job, can go do svcing.

4) Tea break at 3.30pm

5) Normal servicing can go anytime.

This are some of point which i think is useful. BUt once again i need to stress out that the UM will ensure quality service being provided to every pulsarian. And any Unhappiness or misunderstanding, you can email to [email protected] or [email protected]. If you prefer to remain unknown, you can email to Bajaj Team. Good point, i was assuming that he meant when he down gear the speed remain same but RPM go up already then continue climbing. i mean, past what is normal.

So to Greyakira, better question is, is there any point in time when you're on the same gear where:

1) your speed remains the same but RPM keeps climbing as you slowly throttle up.

2) you maintain throttle, RPM stays the same, speed drops.

slope of course.

anyhow, best bring to mech to take a look see. 90kmph is a little slow man.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

not too sure about spraying on parts, but when i went to wash carb, they drained petrol from my tank into a container to wash the parts in. i'm ok w that though, petrol is cheap, haha.

Nope, i don't think so... it is not right for them to take any thing from our bike as we are their customers. As professionals they should provide quality service... they cannot take things for granted.

I think Nemesis should inform them on this matter to avoid unhappiness and curiosity from the customers since we as their customers put our trust on them for quality service.

Well, on slope my speed drop terribly, assuming I'm at 5th gear, that I had to keep left all the time (sometime even the vehicle on the left most lane had to overtake me), RPM drop at the same time too. So sometime I down gear to 4th, full throttle, RPM is about 7k RPM but still no power.

I remember they changed the clutch plate just a week after I bought the bike since I'm having problem getting "Neutral". All this while I thought that a top speed of 90km/h is normal for a Pulsar (since it's fuel saving) until I told my friend about it.

Oh yeah, when I have pillion, it gets even heavier to go 90km/h. It's like, the engine revving very hard (full throttle) but still no power. Quite sad.

Anyway, thanks for the reply guys. Now I know it's not normal. I'll go to my mechanic next time I'm free. Maybe I can see you guys in one of the outing in the future. Ahaha.

carb diaphragm got holes? it's a possibility. your friendly mech should be able to advise!

mechs will drain a bit of petrol from older bikes to get rid of the water/rust/impurities stored inside. and dun waste the drained out petrol ma cos its can help to clean the greasey bike pretty well.
