Hi guys, I came across this while reading the previous posts (i'm at page 175 now, getting close!) :

actually this few days whenever i saw another pulsar in the carpark i will go try on it.

dun have the tip toe issue. but duno y i tried the bike at the motordiam i need to tip toe. n the handle bar seem to be tilt down like sport bike version.

P180 got electric n kick start?

And I can't help but react. Hqx at the time was looking to get a Pulsar and tried one at UM and found out he was tip-toe-ing and was worried about his control of the bike. So apparently he "tried" sitting on Pulsars parked nearby his place ->> :dot:

I don't want nobody to "try on" my future bike  I don't wanna ! (Copyright Lardee)

Is it "normal" to try other people's bikes when they are parked? I wouldn't dare:

1. It's not mine

2. What if I scratch it, if it falls or gets damaged ?

If I really like a bike, I might just try to catch its owner, put a note on the bike if its parked in my MSCP to see if the rider can meet with me and then have a chat over drinks and then maybe I can really try the bike if he/she is nice enough to let me!

But go and "try on" bikes ? Please don't do that :(

And also, if by mistake you scratch or push someone else's bike in a carpark and it falls, do leave your number. It's basic courtesy and honesty: you don't want to find your bike damaged one day and just be left with cursing and fuming, do you? So why make someone else feel like that ? Let's be considerate between one another, it makes life so much better :thumb:

(And don't tell me I sound like a carebear, I know some people out there don't care and think we live in a jungle, but you'd be surprised how much being considerate to others can bring better behaviors to surface :) )

i agree with you. not your property better don't itchy hand or backside got and disturb.. wait the guy/gal just happen to see and you get whacked or worse..

a couple of months ago.. i parked my bike to attend an event. when i came back to my bike.. a kid (probably in secondary school) was sitting on my bike comfortably, with his dad beside him (area no chairs as it was a sports event).

(fake) i beat the kid into a pulp and end up squeezing him into my fuel tank and he became fuel for my bike..

(real) i told both father and son off and told them to respect other people's property. they apologised.

Look for cookie_monster... He can help u order a CDI reactor to help stablise ur rpm... very useful... and it actually boost ur power when u accelerate from low to medium rpm... At least now i can be always at the first or 2nd bike everytime at a traffic light...

But mostly I go for big big scooters like x9 or Yamaha majesty or goldwing... so far no prob with all the owner whom i had tried their bikes on... they saw me also smile n explain to me abt their bikes... but of course prior to that i will smile n say sorry to them n explain to them y i so curious wanna test their bike la... I even got the chance to pillion an owner of a goldwing one round around my house area... Note: I got NO class 2 license... that guy was really a nice guy...

does the reactor affect fuel economy? any comparison pre and post installation? any change in vibrations also?

U gain some, u lose some... by right i should lose some petrol in exchange for the boost in my acceleration power... I been testing it for around 2 weeks now already... Very useful but i really dun see much significant increase in FC though... But bikes moves off much smoother now...

I would suggest you try to find a free wifi access near your workplace (wireless@SG maybe?) and if you can't spot one, try and ask around the office: It's very surprising that there would be no Internet access. Maybe your computer is not hooked, but you can tap into a local wireless network, or share another computer's connection?

there's a map somewhere where it show all the wireless sg hotspot. some restruant like mac donal, kfc, etc also got free wireless.

i didn't know sg is going into fiber, tot last news i heard sg is going full swing into 3g, as our island is small.

oh gosh lol u are facing the same thing i am feeling now lol. u every morning start bike need to open choke if not the bike will die?

mine every morning need choke, i guess old already.

u never close throttle properly? u're suspose to pull clutch n close throttle gradually. u can try if u pull clutch 1st, wait a while, then close throttle. if still got engine brake, possible ur clutch too near, u can manually adjust the lever further.

Is it "normal" to try other people's bikes when they are parked? I wouldn't dare:

1. It's not mine

2. What if I scratch it, if it falls or gets damaged ?

i never do that. too timid and i'm scare that the owner come back and hit/scold me.

but if u go JB jusco b4, the motorcycle security there will usually sit on empty bikes. i doubt it's their bike or know the owner. cos got one time i saw the owner come back, the security slowly walk off, happily chatting.

CDI stands for Capacitive Discharge Ignition, basically it stores n provides e spark timing to our spark plugs. Its is oso e brain/cpu for e bike, if spoilt u will not b able to start ur bike.... in bigger cc bikes, its oso controls e EFI(electronic fuel injection)....
