My speedo suddenly drop to zero while I was traveling on the road. The only thing I felt weird is ytd suddenly felt a jerk and my rpm go very high...

 

I encountered it once. This is due to that the bike went out of petrol.

Imagine I was travelling on the highway at about 90km/h and this occurs. -_-" Could have lost my life lol.

 

NOthing to do with ur speedo... there many reason leading to your problem.

 

Etc, Water in petrol tank, CDI and so....

 

1st, did ur exhaust have this explosion sound. ?

 

About the exhaust with explosion sound, what does it mean? I think it happen once to me but I could be wrong. Too many bikes around me that time.

wa lao. almost accident today.

1 p plate rxz swerve into my lane when turning thru the junction of middle road and beach road. basket, nv check blindspot.

 

i got no time to horn also.

my speedo has encountered this problem before.. but after i switch off and restart the bike.. it works well again.. i'm retrieving my bike tml.. but not riding due to pain wif my injured finger.. hmmmm.. not confident wif riding so long wif the pain in my finger.. so you guys enjoy durin BTMO k.. everyone is so quiet nowadays.. whr everyone go?

lol bro u won't want to have the same thing to happen to u as wad happened to lucky21. yours is outta fuel that's why digital speed drop to zero and real time it also speed drop to zero. that one u move to the side put reserve tank then ok liao.

 

Lucky21's prob not so simple. if the jerking add in on with the cDI showing zero constantly on the move its most prob Cdi prob. changing it wld be ard $160- $200+ can't remember what ah heng said last time when i asked.

 

Exhaust explosion sound. If i am right boss meant backfire. That one when u hear a loud Bang! from ur exhaust when u off throttle that is the sound u get. its loud. Not just some small sound

Went to UM and serviced my bike. Saw Suvespa too.

 

My speedo cable snapped! Cost $16 to replace it. The mech told me is not the CDI problem and most likely is the diaphragm problem. Changed the diaphragm and cost me $25.

 

Hopefully no more problem coming up and will continue to monitor my bike.

Lousy spark plug losing $$$ in terms of petrol based on the lousy recommendation from Ah H**g.

 

It is advisable to use Denso Spark Plug U20EPR9 (0.6 to 0.8mm) for our Pulsar bike.

 

Although it is slightly more expensive than N*K, Denso has better firing and stability in terms of pick up power, acceralation and smoother combustion.

 

Based on my real experience and observation during servicing, my spark plug was covered with black carbon soot after using MY petrol. After switching back to SGP petrol (Caltex 95 with Techron), the plug was very clean and free from carbon soot. That's the price you pay for mileage and prolonged engine servicing period.

Look 4 chief... He can recommend u a new brand suitable 4 our bike. Thk is called irc or somethg... Its much cheaper than e 2 u mentioned.

i face no prob using ngk plugs. furthermore, in my 2 yrs + riding, i only top up 4 times in sg. yes, i used jb petrol usualy. recently im using jb's ron 95 (coz esso's f1 is expensive, rm2.05 per litre.) although i usualy cruise around 90-110km/h, it still gives me gd mileage.

any pulsarian 200 riders having problem starting bike after didnt start for 2 day? I just came back from reservist 2 days ago, last friday ask me frenz to push start now than can start again...now cant start again what could e problem be?
