the 1L at bottom better dont use, unless u're draining ur tank. cos at bottom there're lots of residue n some water, n u dont want feeding that to ur engine rite.

Actually the 1L at the bottom cannot use lah. Its level is below the fuel dispensing nozzle so no way to use that, unless you turn your bike upside down.

@glzco which model is your bike? Your's seem to be the older version that's why can fill 17 lts after 20 kms on reserve.

My bike is the analog meter 17 inch alloys. Once my bike fuel finished completely no reserve also and my bike died on the way to the malaysian immigration. Somehow I tilted the bike and started it and when I reached fuel station I guess it had only that 1 L of unusable petrol left. Still I was able to fill only 17.5 lts.

when you say fill up as in fill to literally the brim?

cos can fill until the petrol almost at the cover of the fuel tank

we have UG3s which is able to fill up to 19L

dunnoe how he squeeze

anyway for my 180 stated in the manual is 15L with 3.2L reserve(2L usable)

so total tank capacity is 18.2L with 17L usable

Yes I try to fill till the lid, but keep it on sidestand. may be if I keep bike on main stand can fill more.

I believe 15L with 3.2 L reserve means 3.2L included in the 15L. Also when they say 15L it is not till the lid but may the level at which the the fuel pump cuts off automatically, thats why can fill more.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

the way u're tilting is considering using the 1L at the bottom. when moving, the petrol is actually shaking thus still some flow to ur engine, however air intake also quite a lot. last time i used to do that, run until dry, however found that bike always die off, then was advised by someone when reached reserve, it's time to find a petrol stat.

btw, our lid is not completely air tight, when it overflows, petrol will leak out. when u're moving, u're actually spilling petrol. also when u fill almost to brim, u need to use main stand, using side stand to park is actually spilling petrol. also note that the lock is actually inside the rim, so it's actually forcing out petrol when u close the cap.

in the end, those who think filling up to brim will give u a few more km for ur $, u're wrong, u're wasting $. also ur fc increase cos of the spill. last time i always fill to brim n found all these factors. then i dont fill to brim n found my milage inc by 0.5-1km/L.

My bike has already done 620kms since the last tankful. I am thinking of going to JB straight from office today. Anybody knows how the JAM will be around 5:00-5:30 PM at the causeway?

recently i found that when i park using main stand, 1-2 drop of petrol will leak out from the carb. anybody knows is it ok? confirm it's not leaking from the top of the tank.

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.
