After so long, I finally managed to watch 'Ip Man 2'. Somehow, I get the feeling that Ip Man is the modern version of Wong Fei Hung. Why do I say that? Cos there are quite a few similarities between them but I'm not going to delve into that. Watch both movies and you'll know what I mean.

 

Anyways, 'Ip Man 2' did not disappoint or fail to excite. Ip Man has now moved to Hong Kong where he has to contend with the various martial art fraternities headed by Sammo Hung and the darn British gwai lo boxer who insults Chinese kungfu. The fighting scenes are a joy to watch cos of the fast, furious pace. However compare to the first movie, I think the first one is much better in terms of plot and fight scenes. Nevertheless, 'Ip Man 2' is still a great complement to the first one. The last scene is a hoot cos a particular famous martial artist is introduced as a child to his master. :lol:

 

All in all, still a great movie to watch. Guess producers are banking on these 2 movies blockbuster prowess to rake in the moolah cos another movie, 'Ip Man : The Legend Is Born' is already released. No Donnie Yen in this movie thus not so interested to watch...:cheeky:

Just manage to catch "Eclipse" last wkend....

 

Quite draggy the show.... With little humour here and there....

 

Took quite long for the most interesting part.... But when it came, it was gone in 5mins...

 

Well, worth a watch if u have already watch the 1st 2 parts of the show...

Actually, i feel weird to have a local tv show as a movie instead. tho whether its called bias or not towards local production well...

 

But i sure planning to watch Despicable Me this weekend and sneak in TAKOPACHI OCTOPUS BALLS into the cinema whilst watching the show mwuahahah...

This weekend most likely I will be doing a DVD movie marathon. Movies lined up to be watched - Cirque Du Freak - The Vampire's Assistant, Driven To Kill & my fourth attempt at trying to watch Twilight till the end...:lol:

The vampire's asst is a nice movie... I personally enjoyed the show...

Yesterday night, instead of watching the movies I've listed, I movie marathoned the Chinese kungfu serial 'Heavenly Sword & Dragon Sabre 2009' instead on Youtube...:cheeky:

 

Alamak, Aie, u aso like that type of fly here and there kungfu with special powers shootin out from palms destroyin everythin in their way... o_O

Yupz. Been a fan of kungfu and swordfighting movies eversince I was a kid. I think maybe tonight I'll watch the Ekin Cheng and Aaron Kwok, 'Storm Warriors' and an English movie, 'Mask of the Ninja'...:cheer:
