Hi ppl,

Just bought a cheap skipper for transport, engine is fine, but got a problem, as the bike is old, the bottom part of the frame joining/supporting the Main Stand has corroded and is weak, cant hold the bike properly, anytime can drop like that. Anyone has encountered this before or know of a way to solve this problem and which workshop or metal works workshop can repair this.

Alternative is install a side stand, has anyone done it b4, where can i find a salvaged old side stand if there is any.

Hi guys,

I've got a problem. Was supposed to jaga my friend's skipper while she was away but I myself had to go away for 2 weeks. Before I left, I removed the battery and covered the skipper. When I got back and installed the battery, the skipper refused to start. The engine turns over (got the cranking sound), but the engine fails to ignite. I removed the spark plug, started the bike, but saw no spark. Tried 2 different, new spark plugs but still didn't see any spark. BTW, the lights and horn all work.

I thought the battery was weak so I charged it but the problem's still there. Bike turns over but doesn't start. Spark plug also has no spark.

Anyone know what's wrong? Has something failed?

Quite paiseh to tell her the bike's broken down. The last time I helped her jaga the bike, the bike piston's jammed haha. Not my fault tho - she had just bought the bike and the 2t pump failed.

I could be wrong. If no spark at plug, could it be the cdi faulty.

Unfortunately the kick start doesn't work :(

How much does a CDI cost, and can I DIY a replacement?

Haha, very near to the place where i lived. I stayed in clementi ave 4, just crossed the bridge. If you need to check on whether is it cdi pro. Just tell me.

eh steady! i'd greatly appreciate it if you could do that. I think i can push the bike to the carpark next to the bridge which links Ave 4 to Sunset Way.

When are you free?
