Bro how you take the reading?,using a multimeter or just by reading your analog voltmeter?. Because the reading on analog voltmeter dont give you good reading,its best to use digital multimeter.

The charging like abit low....i've never measured mine before,but i did measured on a car its somewhere about 13.0-13.7-9V like that. Will measure my 1 year old bike soon coz my multimeter's in school..:slapforehead:

Yups...true...it shud be above 13V and below 14V...Last time i checked mine was 13.5V using digital multimeter...batt lifespan more than 1 yr liao...

My bike is 7 years old spec 1

 

My exhaust pipe very sooty leh. this is most probably cause by carb.

then i went to service carb.. problem still persist.

 

my FC is ok lor 20km/l but this sooty pipe juz annoys me. i seen spec 3's pipe very clean. ride very long already the pipe there still not much soot.

 

1.does this mean i should go for a valve clearance check?

2. install jet kit will help this?

3. valve clearance job consist of wad? valve clearance only? wad about timing chain etc?

1.Valve clearance only done when you hear the "ticking" sound when engine is running.

2. Will help but still you need a dyno machine.Why not use original jettings,unless you got install aftermarket exhaust system.

3.Valve clearance job consists of setting the correct gap between the tappet and valve tip by adding tiny spacers.Timing chain will last you about 100,000 or 150,000km.

 

Hi,you mention about washing carbs,but what about the airfilter?.

Planning to sell my FZ spec3. Wondering wat it will fetch? Hopefully I will get an idea of the price by listing down wat I've done to my bike. Unable to post pics anytime soon.

anyone knows why my S4 feels unstable when riding..

 

issit:

- fork problem? fork rebuilt last year only..

- tyre? maybe it's due for a change..

 

and where can i do rim balancing and much issit thanks..! i really cant stand it when the whole bike is super unstable.. very jerky and unstable.. like going to lose control anytime that kind.. hais..

i just brough my belly pan at carbon fibre colour, will like to match the colour to my oil tank colour( Gun- Metal ) any suggestion? sticker or go spray? which is better... Plz advise...

My fren claimed that after installing his knn air filter, his fc dropped? I thought it shld work otherwise?

Guys is it normal for one of the front brake disc to be hotter than the other? My right side is hotter than my left one..

 

I have changed brake hose, master brake pump, service brake calipers and new brake pads..

try FP-60 for fuel jet cleaner..

the servicing of brake calipers... were the O-rings changed? Or u mean after u did all the above n the resulting situation is ur right disc hotter than left

I contemplating doing the servicing cos my right side oso hotter than left...

Yes O-rings were changed, both disc brake is hot, only right side one is hotter than left side one.. I was wondering if anyone else is the same cos i spent ard $400 doing up my brakes already..

i also did the same servicing as you,indeed right side is hotter than left,so think should be normal ba.

Here goes...

Just changed battery (yuasa 7A) and rectifier ytd, wired up a dynamax voltmeter and here are my findings....

 

On the move RPM 6

MAX Voltage headlights on = 12.5V

headlights off = 13.2V

 

Idle @ RPM 1

Max headlights off = 12.0V

headlights on = 11.7V

 

Readings will reduce by 0.2V if signals were on at any set-up...

 

 

The question now is... is everything ok? it seems that the voltage is not at the optimum, what else cld be the cause?

hi all s4 rider, i need help... yest juz fix in rear hugger, today when i reach office, i realize that my rear suspension too soft, the "suspension can" scratches my hugger :cry: , i wonder the distance so far how it scratches? :slapforehead: my hugger is tat type of carbon fiber type, hear is spray one....

 

My suspension ored adjusted to the most hardness, if still soft or wat... izzit need to change the whole suspension or can change the spring only? Anyone can enlighten me, how and where can do it? thks....:bow:
