I tink he wants to go for longer mileage for touring...u noe like the ones on enduro bikes...

No need after market lah...asked a panel beater to whack all the depression part of the tank out..think you can get a bit more..better still...cut and weld customised extra part for the tank..

never try before.. but similar to what Ah Pek said..

 

buy new tank.. ask a welding shop to cut and weld the tank downward/forward like those scamblers' safari tanks!! best can achieve 38L..!!

 

estimate cost w/o including tank? abt $400, reasonable??

Buy new third party of such if have la_gi xpansive.

 

Heee..why don't you get a metal work machinst and slice the 1/3 of your tank top of (cap remain intact) and custom made a added mid section and have it welded back resprayed...possible but not sure what LTA gonna say. Can always get a spare 2nd one to replace just for inspection.
