SBF Official "Where to park" Guide

yup, agreed, this thread is very important to all bikers! haha..

anyway, regarding vivo city redemption scheme, it is only applicable to cars presently, I have actually written to them that the scheme should be applicable to motorbike too, since we are also consumers. But sadly, the reply said that they will look into it only.. and I doubt there will be any action done..

Maybe if more people (riders) write in, the chances of the scheme applicable to motorbike would be higher.. therefore would appreciate if anyone is free, please go to http://www.vivocity.com.sg/enqform.html and put up the request that the scheme should be applicable to motorbike too!

seriously specking , i think the best way is to do a petition like what everyone is doing.. write a good solid letter and get everyone in this forum to drop their names down to agree with the letter..

Guys. Today when riding back from work, i went to park in Parkway Parade carpark. I entered the carpark, but didnt wait for the barrier to open. I went past the barrier because there was a big enough space for a Goldwing to pass through it. But after i went through that opening, the carpark management guys kept looking at me. I took 3 mins to park my bike and the kept glancing at me. Or i thought they were. Or maybe looking at the passing vehicles. I was not too sure. As i was walking into the entrances from the carpark, the carpark management went out of the booth and was looking around. I walked past him and he didnt say anything or even looked at me. So i went to do my thing and was out in like 15 mins. I checked my bike, no wheel clamp, no summon or anything. So i just rode off.

Firstly, must i even pay for parking? Living near that area for quite some time now, to my knowledge, i think bikes have free parking. So,

1) Is parking free?

2) If it is free, do i need to wait for the barrier to open or just go past the side of the barrier?

3) If i even do get summoned, will they take down my plate number, pass it to TP or LTA, then i get a summon to my house? Is this possible?

Thanks a plenty guys. I read above that parking is free for Parkway Parade. But i just wanna be sure.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

Private carparks totally nothing to do with TP/LTA one lah... Definitely don't have to worry about that, even if parking wasn't free there.

So in the case for Parkway Parade, do i need to wait for the barrier to move up or just go by the side? What i was told is that if got space for you to squeeze through the barrier, then do it. If no space, then must pay. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks. :p

Yes. for Private carpark, even if they did not extend the barrier, from my experience, they will put a sign "no entry for motorcycles" to prohibit bikes from going in, and even if u try ur luck, the management will appear and speak to you, and not just sitting there observing u.

PP is FOC ...

united square free?

A relationship is like a rose, How long it lasts, no one knows; Love can erase an awful past, Love can be yours, you'll see at last; To feel that love, it makes you sigh, To have it leave, you'd rather die; You hope you've found that special rose, 'Cause you love and care for the one you chose.

Call Wilson Parking to ask. There's a no motorcycles sign but the barrier is wide enough. I took a walk around and saw a scooter inside.

u may want to risk and park on the pathway beside Tong Building (aka Rolex building) or pathway behind Ngee Ann City ...

Alternatively u may consider Wisma parking too, $2.10/entry... cheaper than taka in terms of per hr charging...

expensive......
