Hi madtmax, the original yamaha rack cost abt S$200 i think, GIVI E450 box which is mine without stoplight cost abt $100 to $110 i think.

 

By the way, is it u guys will just be going to changmai or to do the mae hong song loop? How many days do u plan? I was wondering if my schedule permits, can i join in

 

But if u are planning for ur trip in august, then u should start ordering the original rack from yamaha already, cos the shipment to arrive takes a long time.

I forgot MADTMAX, actually the toyshop here sells 3 different colours of the tmax500, RED, YELLOW & BLUE, besides the yellow, which other colours u wan? I got myself a yellow & red tmax Maybe u can bank in to a Maybank account no. No problem

 

By the way, let me noe wat parts u need, so can together i post up to u

So, with Yamaha rack & GIVI E450 will cost about S$310... still ok. Order from shop here easily come to RM1200.. but then, I still need to go to S'pore or could they mail it to me?

 

We are planning somewhere in late August or early Sept.. dependin when my friend's house would be ready in Bangkok. It is under major renovation right now. We are planning for a one week trip. The initial destination would be Bangkok, then we see how... it is just casual ride without plan & target... and of course you r welcome to join

You meant there are no more Yellow tmax? Definitely I would love the yellow one.. same colour with my TMax..

Ok madtmax, if i free this weekend, i will dropby YAMAHA Hongleong to enquire for u abt the cost of the rack plus shipping. For the GIVI E450 matt black i think u can get it cheaply in malaysia

 

Oh i forgot, in penang where do u take ur tmax or big bikes for servicing? Cos touchwood, if my bike were to breakdown there, i can get it service

Could you also enquire how much the cost for tmax rectifier? I think mine kaput already.. it fail to recharge my battery. Now I have to bring extra battery to jump start the TMax everytime I stop for more than 1 hour...

The bike shop in the island only 2 i.e. Planet Cycle and Guan Cycle. Can see sometime a S'pore bikes also were sent there. In the mainland, there are Mega Fortune(Butterworth) and Guan Hoe (Auto City). I'll post their phone number later.. or you could call me.. no problemo..

hmm..the hong leong 1 reli very sturdy..but not plug n play..have to drill 2 holes on the rear to mount the rack..but the givi 1 i dunno..givi 1 dun look as gd as the yamaha 1..but i tink u pay for wad you get ba..i onli know more expensive n better..dunno cheaper n better..lol..btw u wanna join us this sat?maybe can meet u at malacca u can bring us ard..me n cheeko the onli tmaxs going in..the rest are vespa GTs

hi Madmax, i have got back my manual, i will zap it for u as soon as possible. And ur rectifier part no. for ordering is 4JH-81960-01. I will go down yamaha see whether they keep stock or not. Once if confirm everything then i 1 shot postal all the items up to u
