I'm just wondering, in malaysia how many TMAX are there around? Cos last week i saw a purchase order from a guy in KL over here for many tmax03 spare parts. Apparently i think he has difficulty getting them in KL.

Swing 7777: many thanks for your inputs. Guess I'd have to bite the bullet once I convince myself that the tmax is for me....as in get a new one altogether.

 

By the way, saw a blue tmax making its way back to Sg on NS highway last Sunday when I was bombing back to Sg too. Wonder whose is that....anyone on this forum? It had an extended windscreen...thankfully so, as the weather was astrocious!

HI MADtMAX, currently how much mileage have u clock on ur bike? Just wana check with u, have u or anybody u noe who has encounter this THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR problem yet with the tmax? Cos if not i gotta go down order the PART to stand by already. Apparently a few bikes like the R1, FZS600, TMAX has this problem. Here is the link to the site.

Mine has clocked abt 26,000km and I also had changed the throttle sensor thingy but more due to the ignorance mechanic positioned it wrongly while replacing my front tire, it cracked the top off the sensor.. luckily I noticed it straight away & he had to replace it for me.

Hi madtmax, i believe tat part is the SPEED SENSOR ASSEMBLY, many mechanic tend to damage this part when changing the front tires, it cost $130sing to replace the part. So do beware of this

 

By the way, i just got a quote for a full tititianium yoshimura exhaust system for our 03 model abt $1600sing, what's ur price on ur malaysia side

cheeko,ur maintanence manual got recomend u how long b4 u change gear oil,belt n rollers + u clips etc etc?

this no need to worry, for ur riding style, i estimated next change abt 50,000km. But u gotta stand by the 3 air filters at 25,000km

3 air filters?so many air filters for wad?i changing to k&n air filter leh..u mean oil filter or air filter?

Actually 1 air filter and two v-belt filters. I have changed myself those filters. Not difficult once you've tried.

 

 

How much the cost of those filters in S'pore?

it should cost around $40++ sing dollar per filter. Wat's ur cost on ur side? By the way, on the middle of next month can i come up to pay a visit?

V Belt filters are air filters, think the Majesty 400 also has them.
