actually hor.. i do understand that H&B panniers have a particular "weak spot", where it can get "cut", and the panneirs can be broken into easily...

saw somewhere in SBF that just a few weeks ago, a GS got the H&B panniers broken into, right in front of the Beach Rd Food Centre, lost his helmets and riding gears.... :giddy:

wonder if Mark C knows anything abt it ....

thats y go get the junior 40 or 45. u can pad lock the box handles. actually H&B got many weak spots. the strongest spot is the plastic box itself. its the toughest. test by many.

side-track abit, anyone here knows why's a good place to go to to fix some changes on my Tmax's headlights??

i'm thinking of changin to Duo-headlights instead of the standard one-sided...

but if like this, should be also needing to change to duo-filament bulbs too??

any recommended shops to do such electrical mods?? :cheeky:

Mr Cheeko, you've experimented ard with HIDs on yr TMax, any things to share based on yr experience??

great idea though. but not forgetting, the headlight is the 2nd most electicity consumption item in the bike after the starter motor. then factory design is that your bike's battery can support 1 headlight (H7) and 'not so often' high beam (also H7). but if u were to change to double filament bulbs, means both (H4) bulbs, your headlight confirm consume much more electricity. Unless you're talking abt changing both to H.I.D. bulbs.

also not forgetting, for the high beam that side, u have to adjust the bulb position lower. cos its design to point upwards.

Yes, i do understand that it'll consume more of the power/battery, but i'm prepared to change batteries more often loh, not a prob. but u seem to imply that changin to HID will NOT cause a higher consumption of power?? is that true??

can always get 35W one over the 55w bulbs. That should sort the power issue

Bro, care to explain more on this?? TKS

Cheeko, care to come out of your hibernation mode and share yr info on this topic?? :thumb:

very true. do the test yourself after changing to HID. use a multimeter to test before and after u change.

I used to use 55W on the pair of lights on my x9, but factory specs is 35w model, which would be cooler and uses less juice. Its almost as bright. Good enough for local use. But I think for NS highway, HID would be better.
