For decoration, any meter will do.

 

Price is depending on the function, and brand. It can cost from $80 to $300 per gauge.

Did saw a post on yahoo Auction! some time back.. Saw 3 guages for $180++.. Excluding installation.. Now Yahoo Auction! down.. Cant give u a exact detail though..

Unless ur car is really tuned up and you need to monitor the stuff under the boot, it's a waste of money. Some guy I know told me he installed the vacuum meter so he will know when the car got problem.. End up the vacuum reading really drop! But it's due to poor installation so got air leakage.. Volt meter go Sim Lim buy multi meter better, more accurate.. Cheaper I think..

Anyway, I think most of the driver put these guages only for decoration... But the only guage i think its useful is the voltmeter.. lolx..

vacum = air intake

water temp = mearsure the temp of water

oil temp = " " " " " " petrol

oil pressure = see how much u pressure ur throttle

boost = if got turbo lor

rpm = unless u go track wanna b accuray

Usually pple onli install 3 gauges..

If u are going go for the high end like delfi meters..

But if u are on budget, go for 3 meters like volt, vaccum and water temp..

there is a place in singapore which sell the cheapest u can go to this place..

His is the latest and brand is Autogauge..

 

Btw all of them serve a function..

if u are driving a TC car n u do track.. a Boost gauge, oil temp n oil perssure n water temp might be gd or u can look into something like this http://www.veypor.com/carveypor.html
