Suzuki SX4 sedan?

Any comments on this compact sedan? It looks unique, spacious and it is relatively cheap at 53500 and also made in japan.

Suzuki SX-4 is not a sedan as it has no boot. This car is ok if you don't intend to do any off-roading as it doesn't come with 4X4.

In this case, I would choose the Daihatsu Terios 7, it's about $3.5k more than the SX-4, but it has an additional row of seat which gives you the flexibility of carry more passengers if necessary. It being made in Indonesia may not go down well with most Singaporeans.

The sedan is a few K cheaper than the hatch.. But the hatch IMO looks a lot better..

Damn me, there is really one

 

It's nice as a hatch, you add a boot, it becomes disproportionate. Just like the VW Golf, and Jetta

 

But I am bias.

Heres my feedback after some car hunting few weeks ago. Personally just went to see see look look, never test drive. It the best value car I've seen after walking the whole stretch of UBI and AML.

 

The interior looks very continental. Quite spacous front and back. VERY BIG/DEEP BOOT SPACE. Was actually quite surprise by it. It comes with good quality leather seat and alloy rim as well.

 

Some of the dislikes. The vehicle is very tall for a sedan but this is also a selling point. As a tall person can seat comfortably inside. However this also make the front door shape funny. Normally a car door width is long and height is short. SX4 door width is short and height is very tall, which makes it look like a van door.

 

Performance wise, I don't know. Never test drive it. But from review says it abit under power. But overall power still decent. As for petrol comsuption, the hatchback is a drinker, not sure for the sedan version. But it is supposed to be more economical.

 

In fact the salesman tell me it selling for 52900 excluding insurance, which makes it still lesser than 55k for a Jap made model. That day itself, I went to see alot of cars but nothing come close to it. But I would say alot of ppl is still questioning it resale value but I think it is still a good buy. Almost wanted to buy it on the spot but no money hehehehe.

Yah, I was very tempted to buy this car....it is the best value made in japan car around.
