i oni noe that spec 2 is drinker..others donno...hehe :cheeky:

I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought. If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much.

Ver "S" : No Vtec..basic true 16 valves motocycle that gives hi-rpm performance. Its actually a refine PB1 with a power cut-off so you guys won't risk yourself.

Vtec 1 : Fuel consumption was a mjor complaint so the Japanese design Vtec to help riders save fuel under 6.5K rpm. Oso decorated the front fork a bit and some digital feature and comestic to the meter.

Vtec 2 : Vtec 1 got bugs and something may have left out but they ain't telling you so...must be better lah since there is a "+1" to it to make it "2".

Anyway...all still motorbike with a 399cc and 53 horsepower lah with power cut. If there a choice..I always take PB1..throw in a 44 sprocket behind and you bit the rest...heeee....x3! :D :D :D

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

BEER!...it's cheaper than fuel now! DRINK!..DON'T RIDE!

To add, diff between spec1 and spec2 is that spec2 got H.I.S.S. (Honda Ignition Security System)

version S: uses 110 front and 140 back STOCK tires

vtec1: uses 120 front and 160 back STOCK tires..

conclusion: version S is more fuel economy allowing me to reach more than 400km BEFORE reserve; vtec tires bigger, so gives u more stability on the road and during corners..

verS: uses 2.9L of engine oil including oil filer change

Vtec: uses 3.1L of engine oil including oil filter chage

conclusion: buy 4 bottle to change ur vtec instead of 3 bottle.. saves u 1 bottle of engine oil;

verS: most verS have either renewed their COE, or some going to renew their COE this year..

vtec: COE ending in 1-3 years time

conclusion: take vtec with COE ending soon or take verS with approximately 9 years of COE left?

verS: most of them more than 10 years old liao.. road tax increases every year by 10% up to a maximum of 150% of your total road tax payable..

vtec: still under 10 years, so no surcharge for (old) bikes yet

conclusion: up to u to interpret

05.04 - 08.04: Honda Wave S (FV)

08.04 - 05.09: Honda Version S (FP)

09.08 - 08.10: Honda ESi 4dr (SBV)

04.11 - 02.12: Ducati 749 (FY)

05.09 - 07.14: Honda Wave X (FBD)

07.14 - 09.15: Yamaha Tmax 530 (FBH)

11.13 - 09.15: Honda City (SGA)

09.15 - Current: Honda Jazz (SKV)

actually, i just met a seller of a ver s and heard its engine. the engine sound like bit diff from that of a vtec2. vtec 2 like sound nicer and smoother. don noe is it because ver s is a old bike or what.. what i am lookin for is actually a cheaper s4, then slowly mod it to suit myself. but after hearing the ver s, i like bit afraid that old bike engine will chui leh.

due to the sky rocketing fuel prices, it will be wiser to choose a verS for its low fuel consumption among 400cc bikes

Actually version R also have very low fuel consumption and also no power cut

i always tell ppl : want raw power take ver S n before.

want fuel economy take ver S.

vtec 2 is a bit more thirsty than vtec 1 cos its valves open earlier than vtec 1

but some say due to this vtec 2 a bit more powerful than vtec 1 on a certain part of the power curve/band.

HISS system will teach u to take extra care not to lose ur key or burn $70+.

Erm, does anyone know about the vtec between spec1 2 and 3? for example at what rpm does vtec open for every single gear. i am ridding a spec2, but seem like vtec open later at the last gear is it>?

sorri guys..

jus a noobie question... what will happen if someone install vtec tires (120 front and 160 back STOCK tires)on version s?

my friend did it on his s4. nothing much of a diff. except that u can corner lower? haha.

but i think changing to 120 and 160 is too big. 110/150 or 120/ 150 should be more than enuff. unless u wanna scrap that footrest of yours. :goodluck:

I'd rather get a Leo Vince than a Louis Vuitton.
