Here's my top 5. My knowledge of classic bikes isnt't that good, someone post those which are worth a look!

 

Top 5 Motorcycle Exhausts

5. VFR800

The almighty Honda flexing its engineering muscle. Why settle for conventional round, side mounted exhausts when you can build a V4 sport tourer with VTEC?

4. CB400 Four

It's called a "Four". When has a bike ever been named after its exhausts?

3. Triumph Scrambler

Who cares if your right thigh will be seared to tender perfection after each ride? Look at the way those pipes criss cross and go straight through at mid level. Genius.

2. Kawasaki Z1000

The boldest design to come out of Japan in years. A bike that stands out in a sea of copycat race replicas, with the golden quad-pipes playing no small part in screaming "look at me!"

1. MV Agusta F4

Why didnt anyone think of this before? So simple, yet so beautiful. Sounds the part too. Nothing less than the most beautiful exhausts for the most beautiful motorcycle in the world.

Worst looking exhausts (Yamaha FZ1):

Nice bike as a whole, sounds great too. But the exhaust simply looks like it has been run over by a steamroller, then painted black.

btw, i think that the cb400 was called a 4 because it's an inline 4 configuration.

 

imho, nothing beats a titanium arata or arrow with carbon endcap :cheeky:

Agree with you on the CB1000R, but theres just one problem - it hasn't been launched yet. Another contender once it is launched:

To me VF700 Honda Super Magna 1987. Cant imagine the designer could have such futuristic idea. 2 Each on both sides. Its actually designed to act as a slider for the bike when skid.

That explains y there's a lot of FZ1's aftermarket exhausts and piping HOT!!!
