I think 5'2" is tough but possible cos u only need ur feet to touch the ground less than 10% of the time.

I'm 5'4" riding class 2. depend a lot on type of bikes, seats width, your inseam length and personal comfort level. I restrict myself to bikes that I can have my toes on both legs touching the road while seating at riding position. when pedalling at carpark etc, I'll move forward to the slimmer part of bike which usually allow me to be on the balls of my feet. If I need to flat floot on one leg, I slide my butt of the seat abit. If ur bike is light enuff or u're strong enuff, u can get off the bike n push.

wat bike or kind of bike r u looking at?

Yammy MT-09. I think sports bike are more height frenly. I even tried BMW F800 tourer, quite manageable although need the bike to slant abit n rest on 1 leg at traffic lights. Will strengthen ur body core muscles as well.

Go see you tubes on how shorties like us handle big bikes. Learn some of their techniques. When looking around for bikes, pay more attention to the seats to see if possible to shave the sides to make the setas slimmer. Will help a lot to make ur reach the ground.

Oh, when u 1st get on taller bikes it may seems a little scary to lean in corners at the beginning. Just need to build up ur confidence by practising slip road turns n U turns at secluded road. Best if u can get someone take a video for u so u can see for urself how much u lean. For me, I felt that I already lean a lot but when I watch the video I laugh at myself for being such a whuss... force myself to be more daring each try.

u can always try the new suzuki sfv 650....i was searching on the web recommendations for a class 2 bike which is reasonably light yet can be ridden by short pple like 4 feet 10 n this pop up....its actually an sv 650 or gladius 650 in refresh form.....

You can always get an aftermarket suspension example from nitron which gives u the option to lower the suspension by 10mm and they tailor the suspension to ur weight n pillion.....of coz there is also an option to lower the front suspension... through race tech's lowering kits...cheers...

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

Not much problem as its more of getting used to it and analyst the surrounding before executing your next move eg. slope, dead end carpark or runoff area. In worst case just get off and push.

I'm just 5'3" and I always limit my choices of bike to scooter, sportbikes or roadbike as like what Yahmarhuh mentioned big tourer bike are quite difficult to handle in its stock condition as most of their seat are always very wide as to be comfortable. As for adventure bikes its impossible, their seat height always is set at 840mm and above LOL . Of course you can choose to lower the bike but it just doesn't looked nice to me in my own opinion from its stock condition.

Have fun and not fear .... once you get the hang of it its an everyday affair.

im 5'3 and have been riding the monster for two years now, tiptoeing on both feet. @kawarides is right, you'll get used to it to a certain extent. the first few weeks were quite frustrating because it feels like the bike is hard to handle, hard to balance coz the mind cant get used to the height. but after riding it quite awhile, the legs get used to the stretching, doesnt cramp so easily. but the most frustrating is when u need to reverse and tiptoe reversing is like the worst struggle. especially when im parked sandwiched between vehicles and i cant move out of the slot unless i straddle the bike and reverse tiptoe. other that that, its quite fine. but in the near future, i wanna downgrade and get a smaller bike. easier to ride, easier to handle, less sweat involved.

For some Class2, there are low-seat aftermarket options. Perhaps you can do a search for them when considering which bike to purchase. Good example is BMW GS, there are even custom low-seat heights.
