There is no PENDING status, only a YES or a NO. By the way, I'm not the one who put in pending...(Must be Waikeat).

I have met up with Don last week regarding the anti theft "device" for the vulnerable KRR. After a short discussion, it was realised that both of ideas had loopholes!!

The "ultimate" design is clearly not a DIY effort anymore. Material choice is also crucial, aluminium or copper is too soft, steel would rust (Water seeps into our seats, doesn't it?!). I will be getting a professional machinist to get this done and will strongly encourage all of you to seriously consider getting one for yourself. It is noted that even if you do not remove your rear handlebar, your seats can still be removed (In 2 seconds exactly) without your key.

To custom one such piece would be very very expensive (It's only logical) and I am looking for KRR riders who are interested to protect their bikes to join into this mass order. It's still not going to be cheap (Estimated $35 - $50) but it will be a strong deterant to potential thieves. Think about this scenario...

Lets say it costs $50(Just for example). Too expensive.... one day you get your seats & other things stolen... cost? Few hundreds. By that time, you would have cursed & sworn till your throat become hoarse. (Doctor fees of $18 applies here). Then, by that time, you finally want to buy one but everybody has already gotten theirs made. You'll have to find a machinist who is willing to do ONE piece for you for CHEAP (Remember...$50 is expensive, that's why you didn't buy it in the first place). End up, after lots of time looking (Petrol costs applies here as well) and again doctor's fee (Too much negotiation, sore throat again), you'll find that you have NO choice but to make ONE piece at more than $50. Add it all up... and you shall see if deciding to join in this mass order is better for your wallet or not.

I will be visiting the machinist this morning and hopefully I can get some prices. Interested people (PLEASE HOR...ONLY VERY INTERESTED PEOPLE, NOT CURIOUS ONES!) please call me on my mobile 97689838 to "register".
