hahaz

my case was the fella overtake me frm the left when i was in 2nd lane of expressway

then his left hand go onto the right side of the tank dont do what hand signal...c no ball

Maybe his tank leaking fuel and he trying to cover it?

When reach traffic light, the lacer was at the front, behind him was a car and I was behind the car (I made the right choice to stay behind this car). He then dunno rev until how many rpm like engine gonna explode, lights green and off he went, leaving behind a thick cloud of 2T smoke, that car's windows were down and the driver was smoking. Guess he got more smoke then he wanted. :faint:

original type 520 which is heavier and sluggish u can try type 428 which is thinner

and more responsive

no need to use O-ring just use heavy-duty will do as the secret lies strength in lbs

per sq inch

heavy duty is as strong as O-ring if not stronger

Can you elaborate on this?

I've been using the stock chain which is not o-ring, I've already tightened it twice (I don't pickup very fast from standstill). Then my uncle told me his o-ring chain use 6 years already haven't even have the need to tighten once. :faint:

either the uncle have the bike as week-end transport, does not carry pillion at all

or he mix-up the date

if the manufacturers made the O-ring to last for 6 yrs what they gonna live on???

if my chain last for more than 2 yrs with constant running around i change without

hestitation its ugly sight when chain jammed up your swing-arm or flew backward

to unlucky chap

the website the manufacturers put up of course say until got dragon got phoenix

but who doesnt want to

your judgement should be made on certain info like private users feed-back mine

was confirmed by private ang-mohs who ride the bike on streets as well as track

whos gonna cost them a bomb when purchasing parts for bike they even

measured the strength of chain accordingly

due to fact that kips is small machine having O-ring type 520 affects the throttle

response = sluggish ( high petrol consumption )

stay with heavy-duty type 428 would be more practical better response less petrol

consumed

ps: reformatted my pc so lost all my link

Back in the 90's my z-kia, tz-kia, lao k,rg-kia etc all using heavy-duty with pillion

1 shot bang down 2 gears also like that boh tai-chi

the secret of maintaining the chain is lube and tighten often

i'm a practical person when comes to money value quote a scenario to u

1 O-ring cost $100 against 1 heavy-duty $40-45 if my memory serve me well

would u rather have 1 new chain every 3-6 months or just 1 O-ring thru out the

year?

Thanks for the insight.

My uncle really has been using his o-ring chain for 6 years, he doesn't ride hard and he uses his bike for transport daily. A distant relative of mine (riding instructor in bbdc) said that a certain make of x-ring chain can last even more than that. I can't comment on the x-ring though, no evidence whatsoever.

Can or not as in legal or illegal? FYI, any colorful stuff on your vehicle that does not come stock is illegal because it might disorient other motorists.

HeyO GuyS,

:help:

i have a little problem here; i think that my rear suspension is kinda soft and the whole bike bounces too much when it goes over humps and uneven road. not to mention, when a pillion gets on the bike, there is a significant dip in the suspension. i understand that the bike definintely has to dip a little, but the question is how much?

right now i see 2 possible solutions to my problem. either i find ways to tighten it (if there is any) or i change a new suspension. if it is the latter, how much will it cost roughly and what brand should i look out for?

so yr uncle riding what bike huh?

i observed that a normal chain on my ex-honda wave was able to last quite long while before i need to tighten the chain abit...so probably using an o-ring or heavy duty chain is gonna lengthen the period of time before required to tighten the chain

based on disscussion your uncle riding kips??

secondly thru out the years i seen uncle under pump their tyres reason being they

have more contact patch :giddy: ( nothing personal ) just being thrifty :thumb:

however i do agreed when tua gu do required O-ring as the bloody down-force of

engine sibeh terok (reason why slipper clutch in ZX-10 eliminates wheel lock-up )

as i myself is more safety oriented plus sometime 'ki tao hong' which justifies

having new of good grade stuff rather than best money could buy stuff for long

time but never know when its gonna failed :help:

first of all the rear shock is craps on kips

indeed u have 2 solutions go to your trusted mech ask him adjust it harder (

increase preload ) your bike rear feels taller

had mine increased till the 3 highest so so nia :sorry:

tried the highest wah piang stupid ride hop all over the road :bouncefire:

second solution u can source for aftermarket but are u gonna benefit from it as

how long u intend to own the bike because the respectable good shocks dont

come cheap hor

when astride the bike its on the right side of it

u see the water pump with hose connecting to the radiator the the lowest screw

size 10

forget about coolant spore dont need that as winter dont exist here its all about

anti-freeze mixture

just buy 1 bottle of 1.5 litres of distilled water of any brand will do

when draining the coolant remember to tilt the bike to right side while standing on

right side with front brake depressed to empty completely ( shake it )

u can pour abit of distilled water into the radiator to flush out the remaining coolant

after draining screw back in the drain plug pour in the distilled water fill to the

brim of your radiator and start the bike without screwing back the radiator cap u

can actually see the water level droping as the pump suck in with u reving throttle

then pour more water fill to brim

screw in radiator cap now and check for leakage at the drain plug ( wipe that area

with dry cloth )

if got leakage dont ride your bike or u gonna burned your gasket

ps: take care when removing and screwing in the drain plug

He's riding an rxz, changed the chain he moment he got it. Very relaxed and slow rider, 100km/h max on his meter.

The CB400 spec 2 that he's gonna get has an o-ring chain, 2+ years haven't tighten.

I think it all depends on riding style, if slow and steady, it should last quite long.. :cheeky:
