bro, sori r..btw,wat is a powdercoat does anyway? got pics to show..heheh

Powdercoat is colouring your parts (whatever) preferably metal as they will put in oven to let it bake so colour lasts longer than you spray painting it yourself..

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

Guys, please remember that powdercoating is not the cure-all for your metal coloring needs. It should be used only for frames, swingarms and wheels. Okay, levers maybe. But not your fuel tank or whatever else you fancy. It is not cheap and you have to disassemble the entire thing yourself. That means if you want to powdercoat the fuel tank you have to strip the original paint, remove the fuel cap, hoses, level sensor, etc, and sand it down.

But of course, if you have the $$$, you can do whatever you want. But you are much better off sending it to a professional painter to paint it.

R46, do you have lobang for anodizing then?

Asking because I wish to change my front fork from black to gold. Not the tubes of course, but the portion clamped by the triple tree of an inverted fork. I suppose it's anodised instead of powdercoat?

powder coating is a labor-intensive process of which is only cost-effective during mass production.

the metal part must be clean and bare(unpainted), suspended in a clean-room (totally dust-free). the part is then grounded (negative charged).

polymer paint in powder form is then positively charged and sprayed. the powder will stick to the part like magnet.

the powder-coated part is then sent to 'bake'. the powder will melt and harden giving a very durable finish.
