Hi guys. I am not sure to get a FZ-S or FZ-N. Any advice? i saw alot of fazer riders riding the S mode on the roadl. :)

If u ride often up Malaysia or Thailand, S model will be better as less wind blast directed at the rider. But u need to change the original windscreen as it is too short.

Thank you for the info. i think i m small sized enough to hide behind the original windscreen. :)

hide behind you also feel tired cause you need to 'pi chia'. i dont think you are really that small size that bending a little you will be totally covered by the original windshield, cause i am not tall, i am using of the biggest windshield and i still have bend quite alot, chest almost touching the tank before i can totally hide behind my windshield.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

1. Hiding behind a small windshield tighten your riding posture and wearies you out quickly.

2. Since your riding position is compromised and lack of room to sniggle around, you get butt sore, back pain and body ache very soon.

3. In a compromised riding position, it also affects your agility, flexibility and response to road emergencies.

If you are going to thailand. U are probably burnt out at the 400-500km mark. Yet you still have another 500km to cover. The ride will no longer be enjoyable and will be very dangerous to the convoy and yourselves.

Thanks drangonforce and ohayo for the advice.

Oh not forgetting the pillion. When you hide behind a smaller windshield, if the pillion dont hide behind you, she will take the full blunt of the wind force plus the turbulence vortex (the gap between the rider and passenger). She is going to suffer big time too. In the end both have to sit forward together.

Mine is in miles. Most Gen1 are the same, though I hear there were some batches with odo in KM.

It should be the same as the more prominent (larger font) numbers on your speedo. Otherwise just reset the tripmeter and measure using the expressway markers ;)

Hi Guys,

Appreciate any Fazerian advice here.

I'm interested to purchase 1st-hand Fazer1000 S-model or current model available.

Went to a shop at AutoBay - Kaki Bukit. Was quoted $17000+ (machine-price). Interested to change to Leo-Vince end-pipe, was quoted $640 (Titanium) and $950 (Carbon-Fibre).

Is it a good-deal?

I saw a Full-fairing, Gun-Metal color Faser recently at IKEA, Tampines parking lot. Its a beauty.

Most Fazer I saw on the road/shop w/o fairing. Any bike-shop here in SIN selling full-fairing for Fazer bikes?

Pls advice, anyone?

bro, if u ready to get a fz6n, you should know that it is a fully naked bike... hence there's no windscreen for that... btw, what are those windscreens that you had ever come across?

Boss pichudot, is he referring to those small piece of plastic stuck onto the top of the "one-eyed" head-light for the "naked" FZ?

To me, I find it a little "not nice" too. :) I rather live without the windscreen for the FZN.

Yah, zewei, once you decided on to be "naked", you got to get used to the wind. :) You should have considered the FZS if you don't enjoy the wind. Just my 0.0000000000000000000000002 cents worth of comments. Please do not flame me. :)
