Hi Guys

wanna know if catalystic converter(honey combed structual) is removed ,will it affect the emission from the exhuast when going for the inspection?etc.too much CO....anyway i had my removed a few months back from my stock pipe till now then i know it's illegal. And if stop by TP or roadblock,do they check the area?By the way,my ride is R1 07,i heard that it got 2 catalystic converter,1 at the middle of the Y-pipe and the other one at the end of it.so far i've removed only the middle one.not sure if there's any difference in the power.Guys, need advise...:help:

it's called the catalytic converter. if you go for a bike inspection, will most likely fail the CO and excess Hydrocarbon emission test. if the fella knows that your bike is Euro 3 compliant (most bike models after 2007), he will know that you removed your cat and you could be penalised for that. TP won't be able to know if you removed the cat by jut looking but if he's damned smart and he can spot suspicious weld marks where the cat used to be, good luck man, he might just escort you to the nearest inspection centre.

we saying can pass, because many ppl pass b4,

n sg emmission regulation not so chialat.

the numbers on screes does not matter as much

as the person interpreting them.

meaning to say its the inspector who is going to pass or fail our bikes.

It seems like most of the answers are no prb to pass at the inspection centres.

it should be there to convert unburnt fuel leaving the bike. it shouldn't be there since it converts that unburnt fuel into GREENHOUSE GAS aka CO². it shouldn't be there because it impedes smooth exhaust flow.

apparently the authorities decided that unburnt fuel is more hazardous to the environment compared to CO² thus the EURO 3 standards.
