As 4 this convoy my biggest worries r those bros doing the marshalling duties. you guys are always on the outer lane of the convoy as such u r exposed to the hazards.

Wishing all in the wedding convoy ride a much success! Apologies I am unable to take part as I am now travelling.

 

Just would like to share with all some tips on convoy riding to keep it safe.

 

1. Absolutely NO overtaking of each other.

2. Stay in staggered formation in 1 lane. Only do a single file if there is no other choice.

3. Do not stay too close to the bike in front of you. Keep a 1-2 second space if travelling around 80km/h.

4. Slower riders to be in front of the pack.

5. Newer riders or new convoy riders to be in front of the pack as well.

6. When approaching lights...becareful of the amber light. Do not rush. Your convoy will wait for you.

7. Always signal early so everybody behind can be prepared.

8. TOP up your petrol.

9. Dont leave too big a gap in between u and the bike in front. You dont want cars to cut in and out of you.

10. Stay within the speed limit.

11. In staggered formation, stay in your space. ie: if you are on the R side of the staggered formation, you always ride on the R. do not switch to the L side after a turn or bend then criss cross back to the R. It is very dangerous and can cause confusion for riders behind you.
