steering damper is better IMO.. cos it really helps to "tighten" your handling when going on straight road and u wont jerk/shake your bar.. for the force brace it's mainly to "tighten" the fork tubes together during hard braking/acceleration/etc..

tats wat i feel i might be wrong.. haha

fork brace is heard to balance ur forks when u corner but mechs told me is more for looks.

damper is to stabilise ur bike when u go straight roads at high speed.

Cheow Seng is right..both work differently!

The purpose of a fork brace is to eliminate flex by increasing the rigidity of your motorcycle's forks.

---------------------------------------------------------

Steering damper is a device designed to inhibit an undesirable, uncontrolled movement or oscillation of a motorcle steering mechanism (a phenomenon known in the motorcycling community as "wobble", or in extreme cases, a 'tank-slapper'). Modern bikes are unlikely to exhibit this behaviour in daily use thanks in part to better dampers and due to their very stiff front ends and other general improvements in design and tyre technology.

Sports bike have a short wheel base and an aggressive steering geometry to provide the ability to make very quick changes in direction. This has the generally undesirable side-effect of making the bike less stable, more prone to feedback from uneven road surfaces, and more difficult to control. In addition, their light weight and powerful engine can cause frequent wheelies. If the front wheel significantly deviates from the direction of travel when it touches down, it may cause an unwanted wobble. Steering dampers are installed on some high-end sport motorcycles and most contemporary racing bikes to counter these behaviours.

Please note the facts above is quoted fro "Wikimedia".

What's the price range for steering dampers?

After hearing about Hyperpro, Bitubo, Ohlin... what's the difference between these brands...

Interested in getting one for my bike...

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Averaging $750 for these brands...

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.

actually... are steering dampers really necessary for bikes? Especially for Super 4?

More important bro must ask this question,is it really important for the rider?. If you like to play endless corner then please get this stuff. If most of the time you are riding to work and back dunt think its worth it might as well save up the money for something you really need.:thumb:

But if for bling bling factor, then its your money..go ahead...:)
