Re-open the thread!

I feel bored reading other bikes thread since i can't relate much. Atleast in GSR thread we have a common bike to relate too.

To be a mod, it not an easy job. Even in a family, there is a mod (father & mum). Country also have mod (mata-mata).

Is it wise to close the thread in the first place? Well, if the title of the thread cannot be relate or the content of the thread is out, then it is wise to close cuz the thread didn't function as it is intended.

Frankly, the 'change bike' and 'support Revo', is no more funny.... to me.... maybe the newbie like to continue it since they just join.... well.... like someone said, different ppl got different perspective....

Bah!

i vote to re open thread also.

i just got my bike and i've got so many questions about the bike. i asked one question about setting time and i got so many replies which was really great. if this forum is closed, who else can i go to get the answers/opinions? if i ask bike shops, they tell me worst case senarios or give me chopping board answers. how?

hell we can discuss it here!

anyway i agree with levin and arzme. better cut the crap about revo and changing bike. not everyone here is fortunate enough to keep changing bike, though the person meant it as just a joke (or lazy to answer anything else).

rien d'autre que le max.

ohh yeah forget to add in this...

Its okay to debate/discuss but reign abit the ego, because don't want to throw the white towel, the topic being kept twisted through and fro. it nothing wrong to admit defeat, nobody is perfect. frankly, in the GSR thread, the word 'sorry my mistake' is not often being use.

Disappointed on all this nonsence. Because of small matter, close down the whole GSR threat. Like that I also want to be a Senior Moderator... good sia.

"éšä»”,è¦åŽ»å—Ž"("Handsome, want to go")?!!! wahahaha....

Mr DenverDino, I doubt that I'd be the only one to appreciate it if you'd kindly put a bit more thought into your choice of words.

Thank you.

mods done:

powerplant device, fuel injector venturis,

underseat cylindrical air filter, bassy stock cans,

super-sensitive in-built gyroscope, inertia-based accelerometer,

streamlined panniers (zero drag),

taped up wires, exposed grounding wires,

TBC mounted, custom tire pressures.

I believe all of us have reached the same consensus for the thread to be re-open. Lets leave it at that. Let there be no more finger pointing or blaming or the whole thing would make a full circle again. Also i would like to advise EVERYONE to read thru your own comments or remarks to keep it a neutral zone. We GSR riders has always been a bit crazy at times but never to the point of goin into the "redzone". Therefore i implore to all our fellow riders and readers should the thread re-open we keep it to a neutral zone wif a touch of crazyness. And to leave this incident behind and never to be repeated.

RESPECT RAMADAN. Peace outz bros!

What happened ???????? The thread closed????? This is the only thread where i get to meet all of you guys from all over Singapore.. :dot: :dot: :dot: :dot: :dot: :dot:

devil-suzy: i met you here in GSR thread. fell in love ith your bouncing and get "conned" *lol* to buy your oversized helmet. for that i want the thread to be re-opened so that i get a chance to sell you back something else. on a serious note, same sentiments, have two threads. technical & TCSS threads.

razi: its becos of you, i now have to sell of my original suzuki radiator guard. i thank you for giving me this "problem". so, if no GSR thread, how to sell? on a serious note, we were all noobs once, and only thru this thread, we become old birds and fly together.

ah-gui: no GSR threads, cant organise meet up. no meet up, cant give you leftover coins. no Ah Gui, who else to SUAN? *sad* on a serious note, i salute your balls and riding skills bro. without GSR thread, this connection will be gone. and i hate that to happen.

cyrix: i haven got chance to ask you about scottoiler, windshield, your frequent sat trip up north to smuggle cds, etc. on a serious note, i think you have been the most objective amongst all, always choosing most appropriate and kind words. for that kudos to you bro.

freak: i need this thread to see the day you elevate your ride to the nirvana of >270kmh. *power* on a serious note, we all know how difficult it can get sometimes NOT to get carried away in a heat of argument, and for that, true, let bygones be bygones. hari raya coming. time to forgive even tho' we cant forget. laugh it off.

dinie: you havent told us what happened that day when you fly aeroplane on ALL 8 of us. pretty sure there is a cousin story somewhere. i don buy your "fall asleep" story. on a serious note, agree that such drastic actions should be taken as last resort. but who is to say that it was not last resort at that moment? so **** shappens. we accept. we say sorry. we move on. we learn. we grow. putting things in perpective, this "event" help to give all of us a wake up call on humility and a sense of to be a little more considerate in future. so why not?

hougang: pls confirm when we goin down to fix the sliders. don tink just becos thread is closed down, you can run away ah?!! lucky haven transfer you the money yet. *lol* haven met you yet but when we do, don take what i say here seriously. i am in fact a serious person. on a serious note, i agree, i also skipped most of the argument part. but maybe as GSR bros here, we should have just calmed both parties down.

misbs7: good to know you that day. thos i cant recall how the heck u look like now. oh, i remember, you are our "doa" leader ( ustaz ) isit? *lol* pardon me if i mistook you for anyone. my bad. on a serious note, i also would like to see more constructive input on troubleshooting. but maybe cos our bikes are relatively new, this only happens when someone encounter something. then, if you put on forum, expect to get at least 2 pages of jokes/nonsense/greetings first. but during meet-ups, alot of useful helps/info/DIYs are exchanged. either way, after the dust settled, your question will one way or another be answered by a fellow GSR bro here.

imran: i must learn from you. wanted to write short and sweet also. end up almost one page of nonsense. haiz. on a serious note, re-open the thread. simple.

senior bro swoosh: thnx for trying to strike a deal for me at loois when you dont even know me then. thnx for always organising our Regina Shopping Spree. on a serious note, i agree with you. i find whole episode quite absurd. skipped most of it until thread closed this morning. but for the sake of the thread, and the invaluable chance of tapping experience from senior riders like yourself, i voted "yes".

kaozie: i see you got a new joke line coming soon. no more "change bike". BUT "change mod". on a serious note, everything needs a mod. every rule need an enforcer. spare a thought for the one putting an effort so far to keep the thread clean and useful and everthing will be alright. don hate the carpark aunty doing her job and give you summon, ask why you accidentaly-on-purpose take the risk and be lazy and want save 60c on parking coupon.

levin: donoe you and haven met you yet. lets hope we got chance soon. its the way we write in here and the way we ride, that makes us a target by other riders. i got a big problem, no matter what bike i ride, i get targetted, cos i got a naturally Kuai Lan face and riding posture. too bad. learn and let live. on a serious note, true, i also dowan to be targeted by S4 riders. but the underlying reason is that we are trying to keep only true GSR lovers in here. not those who buy and then later complain the bike lousy. *hint*

to those bros i never address: i write too long liao. scared kena ban. we continue this chapter when we meet in person la. like dat, then more things to talk when we meet. lol.

icecoolT: can you please try to write shorter posts? reli waste band width. other people lazy to read also. some people don bother bout what you write also. its a small issue. why talk so much? come out, go for meet up, buy drink at KKFC, free top-up and laugh it off la. on a serious note, pls re-open the thread. i reli donoe who and where else to turn to, to ask for help about my bike. cant be ask REVO riders right? :)

on a serious note,

Wildcard: i understand the passion and your action. its not easy mantaining order in a chaotic world. for that, passion sometimes rules our head and we do what we deem necessary at that point in time. but i believe your heart, as mine does, tells you that the forum is more than just a chunk of nonsensical blabber. for me, its wer i go, in fact the only place i go in SBF, apart from Garage sales looking for helmet to buy. lol. minus a few pages of heated exchanges, which we all have the choice, which i took the decision to skip, the rest of the pages are resourceful for anyone be it newbie or old birds alike. don make the rest of us GSR lovers suffer, for the indiscretion of some. for this, my bad. i should have just come in and add a joke or two to cool both parties down.

i dowan to be fastest...

i just wan to be FAST-er...

there is no such thing as innocence, ONLY DEGREES OF GUILT...

Congratulations u have successfully become the person u hate most

for those who chose to skip my long winded post. *smart you*

ps: you could also choose to skip the entire argument chapter and take it with pinch of salt. so shorther version of my previous post.

PLS RE-OPEN THE THREAD.

been reading this thread since even b4 i got my gsr..some ppl might know me some ppl might not...i will giv my point of view, a neutral one. ppl have asked me b4 outside if im in this forum and i answered yes but i juz choose to sit back and read coz most of the time i skip lots of posting by ppl coz to me its all unconstructive comments which leads to nothing..yes forums have comments which are unconstructive at times but the number of comments here is too much and way out of control.

and honestly if i were someone new wantin to know more about gsr and i receive those kindof comments, my point of ppl in this forum will be most are snobs..wats wrong wif telling others of how good our ride is..coz in the end of the day u are ridin a gsr and u wudn be riding sumtin bad and postin it as ure signature or ure diplay pic...

and wildcard is doing his best and if u tink ure better than him in maintaining a forum and have it running then go open one...its easier said then done

juz my 2 cents worth

Hi to all GSR bros.. I voted the thread to be reopened although i don't own a GSR.

Before i even got my 2B, i've already came to know about this bike & have been surfing the net/thread all day long. I've been comparing GSR with so many other bikes on the net, spoke to a few GSR riders on the road and have eventually made up my mind to settle down with this beauty when i get my

2A. Everyday without fail i'll log in and view the thread in search of new stuff being discussed, poison as well as the technical stuff. It is very obvious that the bond between the members is quite good.

Believe it or not but i've read the thread from end to end. Though i may not own 1, i have learnt a number of stuff simply by reading what you guys have posted. If given a chance i would definately want to own 1 but gotta wait till next year. Closing the thread because of some disputes is really not necessary as different people have different views.

With the above said, I really hope for the thread to be reopened.
