Anyway, the main constraint you will face (at least in CDC) is probably not going to be full practicals, I was always able to get at least an open slot 2 days later, though many times slots in the next day's practical lessons were available.

 

You will, however, get stuck if you go through practicals too fast after Practical 5, as you will need to pass the RTT (Riding Theory Test) before doing Practical 6. Looking right now, the earliest you can take the RTT at any driving school is Sept 15th (BBDC).

 

In addition, to take the RTT, you have to take the Theory Lessons, and sometimes you have to wait as they might be full for a few weeks. So even if you take 4-5 weeks to complete up to Prac.5, you may need to wait a longer time to go forward with Prac.6 (and may be longer if you don't pass RTT on first try).

 

As an example, I had only been able to get a slot in one of them 1 month later when I enrolled, but right after got a seat in one two weeks later (Instructor had sign-up sheet available at the motorcycle desk right before Prac.1). My test date was ~7 weeks after I booked it right after the 4 Theory Lessons. So I complete Prac.1->5 in 3 weeks, yet have to wait 6 weeks (hopefully not more, knock on wood) before I can even start with Prac.6.

As I said in another thread, it might be easier to not bother with any practicals until 2-3 weeks before the RTT. It's very possible to go from L1 -> L5 in

But sad to say I just failed my L1 one week ago..finding it hard to re-book the limited slots for L1..why cant they hv more L1 lessons daily..:dot:

 

Anyway not used to the XJR400 yet...heavy bike to me and my throttle control no gd..and hv to follow all the school rules again so daunting..

Doesn't look gd at e moment, I feel discouraged to continue.. :(

Don't be. However difficult it is, it can't be worse than 2B. Just take a little more time to get used to the new bike.

hey guys taking class 2a... are new elbow guards/knee guards given to u FOC on ur 1st lesson ?? Or is it share those smelly used ones in CDC itself ?

heard from my fren SSDC give out new ones for every new enrolment in Lesson 1..they dun share those stinko old guards for students..

 

Heard from SSDC friend that they pay slightly higher ma.. thus getting the set lor.. in the event they forget to bring.. use their old ones... :p

 

may i know for class 2b, are there chances of having practicals everyday? i'm gonna enroll soon and still dunno which driving centre should i go..

I would not like to think that the iphone is going to cost too much. Then again, my line is under M1, so not sure about the pricing itself. I am really looking forward to having it though, but I just have to be patient.

 

Haven't been to CDC for quite sometime since after my TP. Im dying to go back there, just because I cannot wait to take my 2A. Thinking of it, I have just cleared less then half a year. Another half to go...
