@cjunqun, congrats man! i was there too...think one of the girls also pass on 1st attempt. cool man!

@s.m.h they have TP every week at cdc now. think it's every thursday if im not wrong.

i think best to check with instructors if not clear about anything.

they are all very nice people anyway.

if you keep asking fellow students (no offence to anyone though), each one has their own understanding and keep giving you different answers, end of the day you became lagi blur and confused. better check with the instructors who are there everyday.

at first i also totally confused, when to check what and where.

but after awhile, it kinda becomes common sense, you want to check back whenever you need to turn cos you want to make sure for yourself that you are safe too mah.

just my two cents worth lah........we all learning everyday in life.

perfect riders doesn't = you know when that idiot is going to jump out on the road to surprise you and test your excellent skills right?

we can be confident but never over-confident.

i used to mark bikes too. but stopped doing it already.

i ever kenna the same bike being damn bad on a different day, someone probably buang on it before i used it that day or something.

so it's not really a guarantee one lah.

it makes more sense to get a feel of all the bikes and learn how to handle to the really lousy ones. scully really kenna a super lousy bike on TP day! touch wood!!

but sometimes really cannot make it, i will go back and change bike.

i ever kenna one bike, must kick super hard to get up to gear 2, when i stop at gear 1 and try to kick up to neutral, it just won't go up no matter how hard i kick. the gear only moves when the bike is moving.

scary man! i went back to the nusery to change bikes.

another day, i kenna one must release clutch almost fully before can hit the biting point. wahlao, kenna major wobbling problems otr and failed my prac 7 just cos of that bike. **** man.

but learning is super fun! i think i will miss it when i finally pass my tp man!

hey, no offence to any one ok.....but when i first joined the forum, i kinda suspected Archer was an instructor cos he always got very specific advices.

to be fair....some of his previous posts were quite helpful lah.

@archer, you are not an instructor, are you? :shades:

nope. me tall chinese. yup i vaguely remember her. she is cute. nice features. at first a bit sad but also a good thing. the recent bike accidents sort of scare me a little. i also know i'm not meant to be on the road yet. haha. thank you for the advice, will give it a shot. ;)

anyway sometimes inching forward also cannot accelerate too fast ma later have to jam brake then drop bike. :(

i nv mark. lols my tp i ganna bike 44 so i know lo sian! :(

I don't like the test dates! and the retraining schedule. my fren in ssdc failed tp just book normal revision can book tp straight away. his first tp is like 1 month after my first tp. but we both fail but my 2nd tp is in aug but his like on the same month. so freaking unfair!!!!! :gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun::gun:

Oh okay. Haha! You see my taste is good. Haha!

Yes, it is definitely better to get more experience before you go outside.

Do not worry about inching foward as one of your legs is already down. If you do not want to jam brake and drop the bike. Throttle lots but not until it is too obvious and do not clutch out too much and close throttle and 70% front brake 30% rear brake. If you do it all quickly, there should not be any problem.

Hi guys, if during the slope my engine die, then e-start dont work, must I check back before I attempt to kick start?

Forgot to ask the instructor...

if de engine die, and e-start doesnt work. dont immediately try to kick start. do de usual procedure but kick to N gear. on-off ur engine, den try e-start again(usually it work since u dint drop de bike or wad).

but i believe checking on left/right(if u on de right side) before kick start is de correct way.

den agn, best to clarify w instructor. u pay for de lesson taken, trash de bike and feel free to ask those instructor stupid questions!

Actually I knew e-start didnt work, had to kick start in the nursery. The instructor recommended we stick to whatever bike we have so I just kept using that bike.

Bike number was 14.

Thanks anyway, will ask instructor during my next CR.

You need the map for 2B? I can help you scan. Just got it on Fri, so still legible and in good condition.

but usually don't the instructors select the best bikes to be used during the test?

when i took in bbdc they let all the bikes go out for the warm up. they already would have selected the bikes which are specifically to be used for TP test. then when we are in the briefing, they would send the selected bikes to be tested by the mechanics to ensure that there is no problems. the rest of the bikes are parked back. this is what i heard from one of the instructors there.

Totally agreed! Even when someone is a perfectionist, they cannot totally avoid all the accidents. Because other road users still err causing accidents and especially to us as we are still novice riders.

I never have the habit to mark bikes as I love challenges and when I get into such situations, I learn to adapt and live with it. Few reasons are because you might get a bike worst than that in TP and you might panic and be further nervous causing you to fail. Another reason is because they do service the bikes every now and then and they will not just let it rot.

I started missing the learning and riding just after a days into booking TP when I started playing the waiting game.

I dislike only 1 thing about CDC. It is their TP dates. Other than that, it is perfectly alright and fine for me. If not I would not have chosen CDC.

I am going for revisions in 2 weeks time and also after 6pm. I am not sure if you are talking about the same week that I am talking about. Let me be specific. I am talking about my TP week. The 22nd July week.

Yes, you have to. Before you put your right leg down, check your right, kick to neutral, before you put your left leg down, check your left, kick start and so on and so forth. Change accordingly wherever there is a kerb on your side. Because you do not have to check the side where the kerb is.

cdc where got such good service????

i was there on a wed nite (just b4 TP on thurs morning), they parked all the bikes in the ctr area ready for TP.

i think all the bikes are out already. didnt see any left on the sides except for the lesson 1 w/o mirror ones.

so ALL bikes are BEST bikes already! :D

and i dun think mech is around late nite or early morning + dun believe he has the time to check all bikes man.

otherwise bike 44 wun be condemned on a TP day

Hi All,

new 2B learner in CDC here. Repeated Prac Lesson 1. Today Lesson 2, kinda confusing, head turn right and left non-stop. Need to repeat Prac lesson 2 again.

Since I am working, I am average 1 lesson a week on weekend. Wonder I can see a 2B license before 2011?

The theory lessons must take in sequence or I can like take lesson 2 first or something? The dates for the theory lessons are all over in August siah.

for ur license i am not sure whether u can get it b4 2011 cox latest tp date is on 09/Sep/2010 so that depends on how fast can u pass ur lessons and ur rtt.

for theory lessons u can take any lesson first. best is go in sequence la. but if really cannot make it than no choice. :) hope that helps! :):angel::angel:
