Really should consider to upgrade to 2A and try the 250 or 400 instead.

The Fuel Injection is so much smoother and the power is reasonable for the weight of the bike.

But it's your choice though....

This is cool that you can store so many items on your bike before fixing a box.

Any idea how is the FC?

Currently riding runner, can only store 1 Open face hemlet :giddy:

FC around 27 KM / L

For my MP3 250 fc is around 30 - 32 km/l,but most of the time on high way..And also i had changed to a LV pipe and a bullet filter..

Hi, I a newbie here, been lurking around this site for MP3 for some weeks.

Got very interesting info exchange. I may get 400 one soon.

Just missed this good deal & also black which is what I want.

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195773

Saw another one 250 but think 400 suits me better.

Any comments which is better? (sorry for repeating this again)

Any bros here thinking of selling, pls let me know.

Brembo, I came by to test the MP3 250 but now no stock for black one when ready to book. Next time put this advert in section for fellow MP3ers.Thanks.

250cc good for max speed up to 120km +/-. It's very nice for SG and the occasional short trip to Malaysia.

If travelling further up north and travelling speed atleast 120km/h (most bike groups), I would recommend the 400cc.

Price not much diff if you intend to keep it for long.

FC also a little diff only... 250cc @ 30km/L and 400cc @ 25-26km/L.

Thanks SW9000 for your insightful advise.

I have not ride for some years but with present fuel situation, may pick up my interest in riding again.

MP 400 is slightly taller & also with higher OMV & longer wheelbase & 14" rubber I guess it suits my big 85kg frame I suppose.

From the UK & USA MP3 forums, I gather that the 250 is more lively & smoother for urban road conditions but for mid range up & cruising, the 400 is a gem. Many of MP3ers go for the Givi or Fabbri windscreen for highway & cold weather use, anyone here is using them instead of the original one?

Which local shop deals with LV & J Costa / upgraded varistors?

Posted

For Polini aftermarket parts, can try Future Scootering. As for LV, think there is a distributor thread under the Advertisers' Section. As for J.Costa, so far haven't heard of any local importers, so will have to order direct online I guess.

Wonderful Motor at Macpherson Road, down the road from Piaggio. If it's your first time, stop somewhere and ask Botak to drive in for you, so you can figure out just how to get your bike into the alley.

is piaggio has any plan to abandon the 125 and comes juz the 200 version

for the new facelift? they should have juz started off with the 200 instead

of the 125 considering the weight of the bike. :slapforehead:

Read in the US MP3 forum that the newer versions of MP3 125 & 250 may have same wheel base & larger wheels like the 400iE from late 08. Can anyone confrm that?

Posted

i suppose cos its not only for sg.. unless they specially manufacture for sg..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Planning to get the 08/09 model eh? Sorry bro if i were you, if you like it go for it. Every year new model come out. It's never ending. For now most of us here experience what it's feel and handles like. why? because we dont wait.
