the owner of the bike shop was an old friend of my dad. so went there one day with my dad to get a basket for my bike.

the owner quoted us $18-$20 for the basket, but need to wait for 3 days since they going to order the basket. went there 3 days later and they still havent ordered yet. the owner promised the next day the basket would be ready. so went there alone the next day, after installed the basket, went to the owner and wanted to pay and he really shocked me after he told me the price= $25...was pissed off, paid and left the place.

what shocked me was why did he quote the price cheap when i was with my dad, but overcharged me when i went there ALONE.

secondly, he forgot to remove the pricetag and the price showed RM37!(basket made in malaysia):cry:

why did he took so long to order the basket?! and when i reached home, realised that the mech installed the basket abit slanted haiyooooo.....in the end went to a shop at yishun industrial park to get it back fixed PROPERLY.

would never go to the shop for accessories or servicing even though some said that the workmanship is good. would rather travel a few kilometres more to get my bike good in shape. *peace* :dozed:

Servicing- I like Ah Hai's servicing at Sin Boon, all my bikes are service by him for at least 10years. He knows what he is doing and explain about bike problems to you. You ask him any questions, he will answer. Friendly and nice friend. I don't deny the price are premium but at least my bikes are done up nicely everytime.

Buying and selling bikes- I find it hard to nego with owner of the shop and thats why I don't go there to purchase my class 2 bikes.

Parts and accessories- Tyres are well stock up, common accessories are in the air con showroom, 2nd hand parts are available. You can nego with the aunties there, I didnt find any nego problem at this part.

I think its because of one mechanic, I'm still there to support for so long.

Try out SB last week and i'm a very satisfied customer walking off with my bike. Brought my clutch plate, clutch and gasket for replacement and they don't mind at all. Some shop will not be happy as they wanna fully charge labour and parts profit. :thumb:

been patronize them for the past 10 over years. They are honest and have the knowledge for bikes unlike certain very well-know bikeshop in order to cut costs by replacing inferior or chiong parts worst is by guessing which parts is faulty.

Does any of you ever sent there for top servicing or overhaul recently?

Yes I've been doing my bikes servicing there for 15 over years since they were at Yishun. From my class 2B to 2 rides. All my bikes service by one mechanic there named, Ah Hai (very experience). Honest and reliable, he will even show you what you need to service and troubleshoot things for you. Price wise, you pay for what you get. Hope it helps
