05 CBR1000RR stolen in KL

Do you have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) code? The fairing and paintwork can obviously be changed.

 

u mean the chassis number or the engine number??

i'm faxing my logcard over to the KL police later.

ya i trying very hard to search for KL riders see if they can find anything....

Find a malaysian that noe alot abt the black market in there. Cos my friend manage to get back his bike from there. Gd luck..

2 of my friends bikes was stolen in KL n johor. It was a CBR1000 07. 1st bike was stolen early sunday morning 20/10/08 at abt 4am. The bike was parked right at the doorstep of the hotel. The thiefs also tried to steal the brake calipers off the R1 01 tat was parked rite next to his bike. I guessed it took them too long so take out the calipers so the abandon it wit all the brake fluids leaking out. Eventually the R1 was stolen too at Machap R&R when they were on their way back to singapore. The owner left the bike unattended to get some snacks and came back abt 20mins later and the bike was no longer there. I really felt sorry for them coz we did ride up together to watch motogp n these kind of incidents happen.

i duno abt most of u, but whenever i see msian big bikes, my mind were always wondering "are these m'sian big bikes we see are stolen from sg bikers since we heard so much abt bike being stolen?" not to look down on them, really. but heard it's very ex there. almost 2-3 times of the price being sold here. can buy 3-4 protons.

 

Most of the Malaysian people on the big bikes are usually more than 2 to 3 times richer than the people who ride big bikes in Singapore.

 

They buy big bikes after buying their houses, cars and club memberships.

 

Generally, they ride Kawas and Harley's but might have a few other bikes just for the fun of joining a style of riding group.

my heart goes out to those owners... if i had a cl2 bike and it kena stolen, i will bait them with another bike, when he sit on it, i beat the **** outta him and hold him ransom for my other bike:angry:

i cant believe a 20min stop can make a whole difference!!

the bike lots at r&r are usually pretty close to the steps or near high traffic walk ways. he must have been watched upon arrival and someone followed him around to alert the others.

they should have the death penalty for bike/car theft in msia.

i think u need to bait the bustards yourself

track your own bike by gps and then go in with your own guys

Sorry wrong info abt the 20 minutes. Yup Lao uncle is rite the bike was stolen in less then a minute. The owner was going up the steps to the makan place at machap R&R when he suddenly heard the sound of his bike engine, by the time he turn to look the thief already sped off wit the bike. One of the other biker or the owner himself got on another bike n tried to chase the thief. He lost sight of the bike in Simpang Renggam and made a U turn before anything worse happen.

Yup the R1 01 got no immobilizer. The thief must have used something like a screwdriver to start the bike.

Last nite a friend of mine told me, abt 15 bikes was stolen n 2 was stolen from the Sepang circuit carpark itself.
