Hello everyone! Just bought an impulse! So far so good. Loving this old retro-retro-ride.

Retro-retro cos bk in 1994, it was already a retrospective styled bike that harks back to the bruiser early 80s inline 4s.

And yes, in case anyone's wondering , its e one on bikemart with no accessories and nearly stock condition, even the seat and paintwork are still original! Though it really looks like it had served its previous 3 owners well over the past 16years.....

Now in my hands, i'm goin to slowly and economically restore it while trying as much as possible to keep its dignified patina.

yes changed oil filter, air filter and all spark plugs. Also replaced with a new ignition switch. Bike is working like charm and yes I am confident this will serve me well for another 10 years. Great Bike, good performance... bike is as smooth and feels like a new bike. Enjoying my daily rides for work and for pleasure.

Shocks shocks shocks.....

Well, turns out e YSS shocks on my new-to-me impulse were meant fr a super4; 330mm length. Impulse shock length is 310mm. So, after searchin/talking with ahboy, chong aik, bikelab, i'm down to ordering a HAGON.

BUT...... Before i do that, does anyone here have the original KYB twinshock?? I have a super4 vtec2 showa that i can exchange with.

Its a long story.... Bt here goes...

I bot e impulse, it had YSS bt its 330mm long (super4 length). Its in rather good condition tho....

But it felt unstable, so i bot a $65 cheapo 310mm(muchtoohard!!) chrome shock to get the stock height. Then remembered my fren's aunt had a super4 that always bottom out. so i put e YSS on her bike and took her SHOWA.

She ride, she happy. Then i put up a WTT in sales request fr a stock impulse shock for le worn out SHOWA, then someone replied shortly......

But........... One side needs to rechrome and straighten shaft. Now at bikelab.

So. In summary.

YSS x4 SHOWA x4 KYB. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/06/aze6enen.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/06/asehemud.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/06/bydynate.jpg
